Blue in Green by Miles Davis (Bill Evans) - Chord/Melody Guitar arrangement - Jazz guitar
Музыка
"Blue in Green" is from Miles Davis' 1959 album, Kind of Blue.
Miles Davis followed up on the modal experimentation of the album Milestones by basing Kind of Blue entirely on modality, departing further from his earlier work's hard bop style of jazz. The album has been regarded by many critics as the greatest jazz record, Miles Davis's masterpiece, and one of the best albums of all time. Its influence on music, including jazz, rock, and classical genres, has led writers to also deem it one of the most influential albums ever recorded.
About "Blue in Green" it has long been speculated that pianist Bill Evans wrote the song. Miles Davis maintains that he alone composed all the songs on Kind of Blue though. When Bill Evans being asked about the issue by interviewer Marian McPartland, he said: "The truth is I did [write the music]... I don't want to make a federal case out of it, the music exists, and Miles is getting the royalties....
Personnel on the "Blue in Green" recording.
Miles Davis - trumpet
John Coltrane - tenor saxophone
Bill Evans - piano
Paul Chambers - double bass
Jimmy Cobb - drums
This is the only song that Cannonball Adderley sits out.
My Chord/Melody guitar arrangement to the song is in a soft Latin jazz style but can also be played as a Jazz ballad or medium jazz. I have transcribed lines from my solo to the // Dm7 / Db7 / Cm7 / F7 / Bbmaj7#11 // chord progression in both soloing chorus. There´s a music score with notations in which soloing scales I use to the chords as well.

Hi Thomas, nice with the Latin groove. I've always loved this tune, been playing it on and off over the decades and there's still different approaches to discover. Great video, my friend. I hope all is well.
