Thanks for putting put great content consistently these days! Bit out of nowhere but it'd be cool to see if you could get people like Drew Guy or Nick Taylor on.

Would love if you could get a session with Rennick talking about troopers. I know you did a feature on them earlier but it would be great to hear from another long time individual.

Thank you for having Rudy on! Once again he proves to be a great guest and a class act! I also appreciate the fact he, if not calling it out, at least alluded to the elephant in the room with this year's drum scores. You guys, in one way or another, I believe affirmed a comment I made elsewhere about difficulty needing to be factored in to scoring. I agree that groups will do what they do in terms of playing difficult content even if it's not recognized, but at some point, that may not be the case. To that point, if BD is focused on winning and their difficult content continues to inhibit their drum scores, it's not unreasonable to think they'll back off and conform. And, as I've emphasized ad nauseam, that is the antithesis to this activity. DCI is all about achievement, which, in large part, points to difficulty. Let's keep the activity in that realm. I believe I previously accused you guys of becoming sycophants when you had Rudy or ScoJo on - usually BD haters, all the sudden "drinking the Kool-Aid". In your early videos from this season you suggested if they pulled their book off they should win. Well, they absolutely did pull their book off. I was there with good seats at Finals. They were scarcely less clean than Cavies and, as you acknowledged in this video, their book was crazy difficult -- in another thread I posted links to transcriptions of the snare book between the two. It is night and day difference. Cavies should not have been in the top 3. As to Boston, their book was crazy AF as well, but the nuance, compared to BD's book, is not there. JMO. This should be considered in the judging which means abandoning all these geezer judges who have little to no comprehension of what they're actually judging.

Also, could you please have David Glyde on? There's so little content with him out there!

No disrespect meant to any group, but the BD bass line this year was miles ahead of every group. They had one of, if not the hardest bass book ever written and played that mug mad clean every time

Actually no now that I think about it, Boston wasn't even that good of a bass line tbh. Their 2 was very good, but other than that they didn't split hardly anything difficult. Their only exposed moments were fours runs, compared to BD doing the most outrageous stuff imagineable

@@cohen_hartz Haha your bass ignorance is showing. Theres a lot more to bass drumming than 2 and 4 hitting splits. That only takes 2 people to do something difficult. I'd take a difficult passage with unisons throughout, massive 4's played at 18, loud ass rim shots any day of the week.

I disagree about the bass drums: 1. Cavaliers 2. Cadets 3. Tie-BD/Carolina Crown
