For anyone wondering what the so called "micheal jackson" sequence is, it's basically mahoraga trying to attack and defend at random because he has not adapted to seeing sukuna's slashes yet. Which is the same reason sukuna feints so much of his attacks just before that moment

Yeah, it really makes this fight a 10/10 now. Shows how Mahoraga had already adapted enough to see and Sukuna had to switch up how he was cutting or else it would just be dodged.

No he CAN see it, but the attacks are random, and fast, so seeing then doesnt matter, maho is trying to guess the timing to gaurd them

Just thanked about it and while this is cool to see in anime the fact that Mahoraga adaptation is basically him « seing » a technique is not logical. We see him adapt to an other technique later in the manga and his ability doesn’t work like that

They re animated a lot of the scenes which explains why you got that "new" feeling earlier in the episode with the train sequence.

The animators claimed the released version is only 30% of what they envisioned, but Mappa's impossible deadlines made most if it get cut. That's probably why so many of them quit. Not being able to put your full potential into the art and animation because of dumbass executive decisions, would definitely kill my motivation to continue. They still got anime of the year tho

they did actually release this episode's blu ray version in theaters in japan, that's what it got leaked from, someone recorded the theater

Hakuyu Go deserves better, mappa lost him, and it's well deserved, hoping this dude starts his own animation studio like Sunghoo Park, HE'S WAY TOO TALENTED 😂😂

what's sad is that despite this fight being "finished" it really wasn't. The full vision of the animators and the team that worked on this episode is never gonna come to fruition due to the time constraints they're placed on. I'm sure some of the rougher new scenes they added here weren't touched up on as much as they'd like because it literally HAD to be complete for the Blu-ray release; no way of going back and adding scenes to a purchased disk sadly. Fuck tight schedules

It was most def not the 100% vision in the blu ray. It seems like some cuts are still missing which is crazy. Hakuyu Go is incredible
