Lyrics:
Hey ladies, when ya man wanna get buck wild
Just go back and hit 'em up style
Get your hands on his cash and
Spend it to the last dime for all the hard times
Oh, when you go, then everything goes
From the crib to the ride and the clothes
So you better let 'em know that
If he mess up, you gotta hit 'em up

Why would she want to return to a shady industry with desperate puppets fearing they can't pay their slave contracts unless they leech off someone else's talent 😂😂 best thing anybody can do is stay away from anybody with any connects to the music industry because that'll be their biggest regret. Talent is not subjective to fame.

Damn this song is tremendous. When Blu starts to sing "there goes the house we made a home" really switches the song entirely from a revenge anthem to something a bit deeper. If you can drown out the beat and listen to the lyrics, this track becomes quite sad of a song. Hard to pinpoint when i should play it as a music consumer. On the surface, youd assume it'd be played when yr feeling yrself and liberated but tbh, itd prob work just as well when youre feeling sad and r sulking.

That's weird, I was just noticing the exact same thing while listening, even tho I've heard the song hundreds of times before. "There goes 'you'll never leave me alone'." That's heartbreaking. This is definitely a grown woman breakup song, not something I ever understood as a teen back in 2001.

+Nikki Seven It also makes sense though not to be dumb enough to fuck around with a crazy bitch who'll get sick revenge if you cheat on her. Some people deserve to end up with the people they're with, because they're foolish and let their emotions or urges make decisions. They don't deserve to be saved from the consequences of that because they are stupid and need to learn their lessons.

midnight15086 Some people are really good at hiding their true selves. Being able to smell bullshit tends to be a skill gained with experience. I myself have been on both sides, cheater and cheated. But now, I'm older, wiser, have responsibilities and actually love my wife. She's not a piece of shit and isn't the kind of woman I described in my other post. We both value honesty and have good interaction with each other. Too many women these days suffer from Disney Princess Syndrome. They think way more of themselves than they are. They get cheated on then wonder why. Then become hateful cunts after the fact completing this viscous cycle. Just be good to each other and be grounded in reality. Not that hard to do.

Nikki Seven I guess the people I had in mind are the type of guys who date some hot "crazy" girl just because she's sexy, then they get burned because they had to sleep with the next hot crazy girl while they were with the 1st one- meanwhile, none of the girls are worth dating. What can I say, I can't help viewing with contempt people who just do whatever feels good for a second instead of using their brains. If someone's not worth dating, why date them ever at all? Just bang them and move on. .

The line "I paid all the bills about a month too late" is such a burn because that hurts the person more than not paying it at all. If you don't pay at all they'll get reminder notices but if you pay them late they'll think everything's fine but meanwhile it affects their credit score and they will have no idea til they apply for a loan in 5 years time and get knocked back. Lyrics time! While he was schemin' I was beamin' in the Beamer just steamin' Can't believe that I caught my man cheatin' So I found another way to make him pay for it all So I went to Neiman Marcus on a shopping spree-ah And on my way, I grabbed Sole and Mia And as the cashbox rang, I thought everything away (Oops!) There goes the dreams we used to say (Oops!) There goes the time we spent away (Oops!) There goes the love I had But you cheated on me and that's for that now (Oops!) There goes the house we've made a home (Oops!) There goes "You'll never leave me alone" (Oops!) For all the lies you told This is what you're owed Hey ladies, when ya man wanna get buck wild Just go back and hit 'em up style Get your hands on his cash and Spend it to the last dime for all the hard times Oh, when you go, then everything goes From the crib to the ride and the clothes So you better let 'em know that If he mess up, you gotta hit 'em up While he was braggin' I was coming down the hill just draggin' All his pictures and his clothes in a bag and Sold everything else 'til there was just nothing left And I paid, all the bills about a month too late It's a shame we have to play these games The love we had just fade away, away (Oops!) There goes the dreams we used to say (Oops!) There goes the time we spent away (Oops!) There goes the love I had But you cheated on me and that's for that now (Oops!) There goes the house we've made a home (Oops!) There goes "you'll never leave me alone" (Oops!) And all of the things I sold Will take you until you get old To get 'em back without me 'Cause revenge is just better than money, you'll see Hey ladies, when ya man wanna get buck wild Just go back and hit 'em up style (Hit 'em up style) Get your hands on his cash and (Oh yeah) Oh, when you go then everything goes From the crib to the ride and the clothes So you better let 'em know that If he mess up, you gotta hit 'em up (Oh-oh-oh) Hey ladies (Hey ladies, hey ladies, hey ladies, yeah) Whoa, oh, oh, oh, oh Oh, oh no, oh no, yeah, oh oh oh If he mess up, you gotta hit 'em up (Hit 'em up, yeah) Hey ladies, when ya man wanna get buck wild (Buck wild) Just go back and hit 'em up style (Oh) Get your hands on his cash and (Da da dum, da da dum) Oh, when you go then everything goes (Everything goes) From the crib to the ride and the clothes So you better let 'em know that If he mess up, you gotta hit 'em up

@Elle Ceexo that's fair to notice he did say of his generation but in the next sentence he also said people aren't making songs like these "anymore", which from my understanding would be the present tense so I named artists that are current or at least somewhat current. You know what I mean?

Ahhh yess, the late 90s/early 2000s. Back when R&B was not only studded with smokin' hip-hop features & fly ass beats but insane lyrical content on bashing the men, lead by the fine ass ladies like Ms. Blu Cantrell herself. I remember catching whim of this extraordinary groove back in late spring of 2002. I just hate how her follow-ups never got the proper shine they were meant to attain, especially her crazy good knock-out anthem "Spank My Ass" with Missy Elliott. Blu has hits for days.

Honestly. I’d like to see more older black R&B, soul, pop, disco, funk, etc records on RPDR. I’d assume they’re a lot more affordable than more well known songs that’ve been released in more recent years.
