Blown Cars - The Hudsons bring both Door Cars out! | Door Slammers | Drag Racing | Perth Motorplex|

We grabbed these clips last a couple of seasons ago, and at the time had been releasing a whole bunch of radial car footage.... so we thought we would save this one for a rainy day, and just our luck - the weather matches that perfectly!
So here it is, both big bad blown oldschool door cars came out to play driven by Father and Daughter.
Father being Clive Hudson who is an absolute legend of the scene here in Perth, one of the few holding the title of consistently the biggest baddest warmup burnouts in which he would almost end up past the 1000ft mark and have to reverse all the way back again - but man was it cool to watch!!
After the passes we were able to be trackside for, Clive and his Kristie ended up lining up side by side (which we were lucky enough to see from the pit area on the big screen!) but we couldn't get to the start line fast enough with the camera to be able to film it!
Hopefully we will get another opportunity again sometime soon!

I havent been to the motorplex for a while so dont recognise these 2 cars what class are they running in looks like supercharged outlaws ?

Yeahh pretty sure they ran in Supercharged Outlaws! Clive’s truck has been around since I was a kid, pretty sure he raced back at Ravenswood too!

Those guys need help. Lots of noise, not much action. Except that second car dropped something down at the end of the run. LoL! That truck looks like it would run 7's. Nope!

Had been a while since they had both been in the seat but they have years of experience behind them… There is no doubt both of these cars are quick, goes to show that these aren’t as easy to drive as some people may assume

@@BecauseRacecarOfficial It's because they are not set up correctly. If it doesn't go straight on the hit, it's a chassis issue. You shouldn't have to fight it all the way down the track. And the engine is loud, but it looks like it's only making 1k HP. Should be more than twice that easily. Gears, converter? Something isn't right.
If you see one of your cars struggling with that lane why would you ever run another car in that lane🙄.

Cars hadn’t been out in a while, it might not have been the track itself… Still getting the car all settled back in again

@@BecauseRacecarOfficial I understand that but again if one is overpowering the track then you try the other lane. Unless they weren't allowed? I don't know because I wasn't there. Just making observations.

@@lynnrunningdeer7364 Yeah good question mate, on a championship round and at that time of the day (for slick cars anyway) both lanes should be pretty equal.. just luck of the draw I guess 🤷🏻♂️

@@BecauseRacecarOfficial usually one lane is prepped better than the other. Not always but in some instances. Oh well I guess we'll have to wait and see if they do better.
