@@yurrr4592 trade SIAKAM?? if we blow up the entire team then sure trade pascal but we still have him for another year on contract, he’s a star that’s never expressed wanting to leave which is so rare in toronto. He’s a perfect second option on a championship caliber team (see 2019). I think trading OG and Fred are much safer moves for our soft rebuild then throwing away a proven all star who loves this city in Pascal

I don’t think we making it anywhere close to ECF in a while w Siakams poor shot selection Freddy is a better 2nd option but when him n Siakam is the primary scorer shit gets rough… sadly I watch every nba raptors game most of the time cuz I bet n Siakam jus stuff stats imo Freddy is extremely inconsistent, whenever og is out we cant do anything but drive that only goes so well when majority of the other teams is shooting 3s

I hope Masai comes to the realization this version of the team has peaked and their window has passed, it’s time to build around Scottie. Preferably I’d like to keep OG but acquiring more assets would be a decent way to start a rebuild

Vanvleet is way overpaid for undersized gaurd

Having picks 6/17/21/22/29 and not moving up feels criminal. 6/17/29 for like 3 or something seems fair. Or 17/21/29 for idk…8? That’d work too. Either one gives you a better pick and consolidates your picks, but still leaves you w one (or 2) in the early 20s to package w/ Achiuwa. Having 3 then 21/22, or 6/8 and 22 seems ideal. Not sure which I like more…seems like you were unsure who the best guys were so maybe two bites at the apple w 6/8 is best? Plus you have future picks so 22 is fine to pair w PA. Can throw in one or two future ones if you find some great deal. Fun vid as usual. Always enjoy some vids where it’s more fun and less strict about “realism,” it’s not like you went nuts 82-0 style lol, but a little more light. Always good to mix it up.

hey Matt, I made sure to stop watching the accidental upload of part 2, but I think a Bulls rebuild in this format will be good. LaVine, Derozan, Vuc, Caruso, Drummond, etc. could be involved in trades. Maybe do it without Lonzo Ball because his future is so uncertain. Will be hard.

Funny you brought up Dunc’d on mock deadline. Are you a sub? They’re really good. They’re not afraid to have strong opinions and don’t care if they’re against consensus, which I appreciate. It’s funny like legit every fanbase thinks they hate their team lol. Obviously they don’t know everything, their word isn’t gospel, but they’re rly smart and def put a lot of time in to their work. There’s not many pods like it. I enjoy their LeaguePass commentary too when they call games occasionally. Nate & Danny do it, it’s called like strategy stream or w/e. Maybe one game a week or so. They did it last yr too. Mock trade deadline, mock offseason, rookie extensions, etc are all great. First two are amazing every yr super entertaining. The Tobias Maxey Toronto trade was something I’d never seen b4 as an idea b4 that. Super interesting. Still have no clue how I feel about it. If Toronto did it they’d for sure need to move FVV tho. Ideally Siakam too, go young around Maxey and Barnes, their own pick would be T5 odds too for sure. Maxey, Barnes, Achiuwa, T6 pick, extra picks for FVV and Siakam (Siakam might be draft trade) then Tobias may have value on expiring next yr especially if they took back bad $. He’s quietly been solid this yr. Def interesting for sure.

I’m never one to nitpick, don’t take this as that. But man those LAL picks and swaps are crazy valuable. Especially swap best of NOP/LAL where you get the best of the two in case NOP disappoints and gets lotto luck. That pick is one of the most valuable picks there is out there a team owns from another. They’d legit only trade that in a superstar trade. Idk what superstar trade NOP would do but ykwim. I get you gave up your T10 protected pick, but ya I just think it’s getting crazy with OG. I’m a huge fan of his game, he could help a contender this yr and he’s young. But the pick values are all out of wack right now I guess bc Gobert etc. I think a fair trade for OG would be like Dillon Brooks, w/e other contract you need for filler, then like…MEM ‘23 pick, the GSW pick they own, and then like their ‘25 or ‘26 pick super lightly protected. Like T2. Something like that. Prolly ‘25, especially bc I think Brooks could fetch them a late 1st bc even as an expiring he’s cheap and could help a contender this yr. Just my 2 cents. And while I’m not a Toronto fan, I truly understand how valuable 3&D wings are especially one this young making not much $ in the next 2 seasons, and while he’s had some injuries, he’s improving his other skills every yr. He’s not just like stand in the corner, hit C&S 3s and defend purely guy. Can still get better. Like some guy in comments said Siakam (on an expiring mind you, will be 30 when you extend him) would fetch 5 1sts and a rly good young guy. Unless he’s counting swaps as 1sts which idt he is, that’s wild. You can’t even move 5 unless you own one from another team lol. 23/25/27/29, a pick you own from another team, and a GOOD young guy not like a random prospect for expiring Siakam. If he’s counting swaps it’s more reasonable, like 3 1sts 2 swaps (obv depends on the picks) is more in line w his value. But even then you’re not getting 3 1sts 2 swaps all unprotected plus like Simons or Maxey or w/e that’s bonkers. I thought Simons/14 for him was totally fair especially since you’d already accumulated a bunch of picks selling. Irl don’t think you’d need to toss anything else in but it is what it is. It’s 2k lol.

5 1sts and young players is WILD especially if he gets traded next year on an expiring. He’s on a huge contract, and he’s on his age 28 season turns 29 in April. So an extension would be starting at his age 30 season. He’s def rly good but let’s not get crazy w the picks. You can only trade 4 1sts anyway unless you have other teams picks not counting swaps. Like rn it’d be 23/25/27/29, then you can do swaps but obv swaps are diff than a straight pick. If you’re including swaps as picks then maybe. Like 3 1sts 2 swaps and an interesting young guy could be totally reasonable. But not those plus Simons level young guy. I’m talking like 3 1sts 2 swaps, salary matching, and like a prospect, Moses Moody or Ziaire Williams type. I think that’d be a great haul for him. And the original trade was Simons and pick 12 for Siakam on the last year of his deal. TOR saved like $10M, got a lotto pick, and a guy who just turned 24 (in the game) who’s on a good value contract for 3 more years. That’s a fair trade. Especially bc you’re trading and rebuilding you have plenty of picks. SROS had to throw in a cpl late picks to get it to go through which is fine. If he was trying to be hyper realistic I’m sure he would’ve figured it out without doing that, but for the video it’s a waste of time. Think of it as Siakam on last yr of his deal for Simons/12. Obv if he was still on his rookie deal he’d be way more valuable, but his contract is honestly great value especially w no player option on it and that tv money kicks in 25-26. He’s super young too, still 23. I hate saying picks bc every pick is different, like I’d take that LAL pick NOP has they can take in 2024 or defer it to 2025 after they see the lotto results over a BOS ‘23, that crazy protected Charlotte pick SAS has now, AND MIL ‘23 pick. Obv not one team has all those, just an example. 1 pick can be better than 3. But ya Simons is valuable. If I planned to trade FVV for a pick, I’d rather have him than like 23/25 MEM picks T4 protected easily. Or those 3 picks NYK got from OKC last draft especially originally when one was DEN 2023 pick.

I think he’s still under contract for a bit isn’t he? And I know he’s one of the literal highest paid HCs. Would be odd. Only thing is the short rotations but like…they lost Otto instantly for the season, and there isn’t much depth. Injuries too. Firing him after this yr would be super weird unless they just totally blow it up and think they need a new voice I guess? I have seen some uncharacteristic stuff from him this year but nothing to fire him over. At least deserves another year again unless they truly are blowing it up between this deadline and the off season. Then whatever I guess. A lot of teams would love to have him.

Every rebuild since the raps chip has been blowing it up on this channel. Would have been nice to see a buy in at least one of those times.

I skimmed the last two TOR rebuilds on his channel. One was titled trading Siakam so he did that, but still had OG FVV Barnes I think? The other he had at least GTJr and OG maybe more. Had Siakam for at least half of the non Siakam trade video which was obv the premise of the video. So I have no idea what you’re talking about. Do you want him to keep the entire roster? Sounds like a fun “rebuilding” video.

You should do trade override for vids like this you the trades were super unrealistic and I gave up every young player the raps had to start with

The title is blowing up the raptors dude. It’s not supposed to be some hyper realistic video. And saying Americans don’t pay attn to the Raptors is odd. Most fans only pay attention to their team and aren’t even that educated about them. People who rly follow the league though, TOR is way up there in terms of teams on the radar. It is a video game, and I already stated the title to you…but what trades are super unrealistic and why? Just curious. We are assuming they’re blowing it up and building around Barnes in a fictional world. I mean NOP would never trade that best of LAL/NOP 1st unless it was in a trade for a star. ‘27 unprotected MIL 1st is valuable too, Middleton and Jrue will be aging…BroLo will be retired. It has high upside. Then best of NOP/MIL in ‘24 unprotected is valuable with how many games Zion has been missing as well as BI. MIL ‘25 is whatever but anything unprotected is nice…and they’ll be in the repeater tax and will have to extend Jrue and Middleton etc. That’s a monster haul for OG. A 30yo expiring Siakam for a 23-24yo Simons under contract through 25-26 and a lotto pick is p fair. Saves TOR $10M+ too. He had to throw in late picks to make it go through but the initial trade was his intention, that’s more to move the video along.

FVV for two unprotected DAL 1sts years out (ignoring Step rule obv) and Josh Green who’s a good young prospect, has taken a leap this year to where he’s interesting and is def plus value, prolly low FRP value? That’s a lot for a small guard who turned down a 4yr what, like $114m extension, and is essentially expiring. I get you take on Bertans but he’s essentially an expiring after 22-23. In the game he has a TO in 24-25, and irl all you have to do is not play him 75% of games in 23-24 and then he essentially is an expiring. $5M partial. Banton has basically near 0 value.

The GTJr trade was the only silly one. Ignoring that they can’t trade any 1sts, GTJr is obviously more valuable than a single (likely) mediocre 1st and LeVert on an expiring who they’d probably re-route in a 3 team deal for a 2nd or whatever. GTJr would have more value than FVV, though I could see a team like LAC giving up like their ‘28 1st very lightly protected for FVV bc their owner doesn’t care about money and wants to win at all costs. But someone would beat that deal. It’d help to have the wink wink that GTJr would re-sign there, that’s usually what happens tho. LAL surely would offer their 27 1st unprotected (like T3 protected at worst) for GTJr if he was going to re-sign. I don’t think you can trade 2027 picks in this game until the next year but I don’t remember. Regardless some team would offer a premium 1st for him at least. That’s the main core, not gonna address anything else. I still have some of it to watch…but again it’s a blow it up 2K video. Essentially every fan values their fav teams players more than anyone so I’m excited to see you tell me an expiring Siakam should get that lotto pick, 3+ 1s, 3 swaps, and Simons. Have a good day
