It's not that big a gap so yes. Some of the biggest bridges in the world are way bigger than the one you'd need across Gibraltar. The only reason it doesn't happen is the navies like to have right of way same as in the English channel, and nobody on either side is interested. Plus Gibraltar belongs to Britain so the Spanish aren't about to let them build anything like that anyway. It's definitely a possibility for the future though. Africa is being developed quite a bit, so a bridge like that could definitely come in handy.

@@michaelheath2866 well surely there are longer birdges like hong kong-macau bridge. problem with gibraltar is that its so deep that we cant build a convetional bridge. deepest point is nearly a kilometer deep. we cant build a 2 legged suspension bridge with legs on shallower water since the gap is too long for it. also we cant add more legs in the middle because of the depth and speeding and fluctuating currents. tunnel might be the best bet but it still is too deep to dug under. deepest undersea tunnel ever made is 292 meters under the sea level and gibraltar is more than 3 times deeper. even if we can overcome the engineering challange there is no reason to build it. so it is likely that a bridge or a tunnel would be never build

Yes it's possible they made multiple plans to build , the bridge was germanies main logistic route to conquer africa, idk why they didn't build a train track through turkish Istanbul and through Israel and egypt lot safer and cheaper lol

i think it was because the bridge had civillians on it as you can see civilian cars but that may have been German officers crossing with civillian cars idk.

If you listen closely you can hear in the beginning of the level some piano and guitar sad music ambient the first time i was idle and i dont move and hear those music i feel so immersed into the level PD: my english is low accurate

After exiting the first couple of train cars(the ones with the machine gun turret and rocket trooper)it’s possible to see a Panzerhund across the gap,don’t believe me?see for yourself

Love the way you stealth killed the guy at 11:15 after a lot of mayhem

I thought we were still at the point where Blazko is still on his way to the train with Anya's parents?

You know when I first heard about Gibraltar in the game I at first suspected that it would be a giant ass dam. Since the nazis had plans of building these giant dams on Gibraltar,Sicily,and Istanbul. So I was a bit disappointed when it was a bridge and not a big ass dam blocks the Atlantic and draining the Mediterranean but several hundred kilometers.

Nuclear power made the Mediterranean dams obsolete. Also was projected they would take >100 years to build.

For those wondering at 7:46, you can literally just charge up the middle without fighting everyone

I remember playing this level, and spotting a suicidal Nazi commander sitting on the edge of the bridge

I'm having a blast playing this game in 2024 for the first time. This bridge is peak level design so far.

Hard to know who survived and who died in those, actually. Usually takes months, if not years to do a full body count. Especially if they could have fallen into the ocean.

Nah, that train is carrying pretty much exclusively military personnel and supplies to the war in Southern Africa, the only place in the world the Nazi's haven't captured.
