    I just received the blowers for my Lopi Freedom. I might caution others that the silica gel packs thrown into the box with each blower can work their way into the little squirrel cage fan. I noticed a funny noise from one as I handled it. I spotted the white packet with a flashlight and extracted it with a long nosed hemostat. I hate to think what might have happened if I hadn't detected it. I can well imagine it might have made some nasty noises, and even damaged the blower motor.

    Very nice blowers, thank you. Just installed in my Lopi Republic and they're super quiet and efficient. Fit was a bit tight, relative to OEM due to the bolt heads on the motor body sticking out farther than the Lopi unit, but worked after a little persuasion.

    Well done Michael. We're fixing that issue here shortly by counter sinking and reverse threading the bearing bolts. Some of the units such as on the smaller Republic units will require a little persuasion to fit :) Regards, Jason

    @@fireplaceblowers Thank you! I was also thinking counter-sinking would do the the trick. I can't thank you enough, your blowers really transformed my Lopi - it runs so much better - the blowers pull so much heat into the room I can't over-fire it if I try. Great product.

    Excellent video, thank you for making this. Do you have any instructions or advice on how to first remove the assembly from the stove insert itself? I've been looking at my Lopi Answer, but it doesn't seem obvious to me. Thank you!

  • @fireplaceblowers

    Hey David. The blower assembly on the Answer is held in place with a couple of bolts that are located directly above your center dampener handle. You need to get a socket under there and loosen them up, but once removed, the entire assembly just pulls off the stove. Hope that helps! Regards, Jason

    I have a real problem... I bought a dual blower kit from you and installed it following your awesome video, thank you, but I have NO better blowing than prior to installing. I am wondering if it is the switch?? I only get a very light bit of blowing on full blast. Same as with my old blower. If so, do you sell a switch?

    It's very possible the rheostat needs to be replaced as well. If it's not regulating voltage to the blowers properly, they may not be spinning at their full RPM. Give us a should by phone and we'll get you squared away with the right controller. Regards, Jason

    Looks like a good idea but would only have taken another minute to wipe down all of those surfaces instead of leaving them all dirty when you put it back together.

    Is this replacement on a Lopi Endeavor? I don't recognize it as being an Endeavor.

  • @fireplaceblowers

    The Endeavor uses a rear mount blower kit vs the front mount kit illustrated in this video. The front mount kits are typically used on the inserts. Hope this helps. We'll have a some video content being released soon on the rear mounts. Regards, Jason

    My lopi blower motors have a red black and white wire but it is the exact same size and layout. Any suggestions

  • @fireplaceblowers

    @fireplaceblowers

    Жыл бұрын

    These are the older 2-speed motors, which are no longer available. We typically rewire those setups to use a full speed rheostat instead of the hi/low toggle switch. So definitely some wiring to do on those older setups, but something that can certainly be done. If you don't care about speed and just run them high at all times, you can ditch the red low speed wire altogether and keep your toggle switch. The switch just wouldn't work when in the low speed setting. Hope that helps! Jason

    @@fireplaceblowers that is exactly what I needed. I do just use the high speed so that works perfectly. So just cut the red wire and cap it and connect the white and black to the new motor and I should be good to go?
