It’s just basic game design. They wanted to have a bigger emphasis on action in RE8, so they wanted players to kill enemies rather than run from them. Since the enemies drop Lei(currency), which helps you get upgrades and items, players will be more motivated to kill enemies.

Haven't watched or read anything about it while I was recording. Anything I said is just blind guesses in the dark based on having watched lots of movies and played lots of games. They're tropes that are easily guessed. Plus there's hints everywhere in the game about these things, especially since the granny and girl keep showing up but have never been explained yet which leads to some narrowing of focus

So when Lucas was a kid he locked Oliver in his attic for a month. I'm assuming that eventually Oliver died up there. In Lucas' diary it said that Oliver stopped yelling during that month but he occasionally heard knocking and then a strange liquid leaked from the ceiling which I'm guessing was Oliver's body decomposing. That's really sad that that kid died up there. I think Lucas may be a sociopath or a psychopath and probably gifted since he was able to build that attic contraption himself and when he was really young. This whole story is sad though because this whole family used to be normal and happy.

I’d just like to point out that the candle animation is accurate, since there’s gas in the room the flame will “point” to the direction where oxygen is. So the whole animation is actually the correct way and it’s amazing how the creators if the game actually added that small detail.

I don't think that Lucas went insane after the infection. I think that there was a part of Lucas that was always kind of insane. With the parents they both seemed to be very caring people before they got infected. They helped people who were in trouble. With Lucas there are the letters in the kids room that talks about him hiding a kid in the attic when he was a kids. I think this means that Lucas was always had mental problems, it's just that now that the infection is here for this family what he does doesn't look so weird anymore and he can use the powers of the infection to his advantage. So one might say that Lucas was always insane it just took the infection to make it more apparent and more heightened.

so why does joel only wrap his arm when getting shot everywhere in the last of us? why does eating a green plant heal you instantly? It is to expsensive and time consuming to make different healing animations for each specific part of the body that has been damaged, at the end of the day it is still a fricken game no matter how realistic they try and make the graphics or how immersed into the game you want to be there will always be things that just cannot happen as they would in real life.

I'm just now watching this series and I don't know that much but I like that jack is working at his own pace and with what he knows it makes the episode feel more organic.

This is now my 7th time re-watching this series
