As for the European trophy we won, we had by far the most expensive squad in the competition, by a country mile. We were always going to win it, and if we hadn't he would have got the sack. As for the tonking we got at the hands of Arsenal, we knew this already. No one expected us to win the game. But it was clear to see the players are no longer interested in playing for Moyes. I clearly remember being in the North Bank and watching Manure put SIX past us. It was November 1990 (League Cup). Lee Sharpe scored a hat-trick.
