@@hamzaahmad1345 Yeah, I hear you. At times I tried to perform different tactics when engaging enemies because I noticed that the game makes small changes if you restart or are killed in a level. Most of the time I was killed by enemies because of that. Definitely gets a little repetitive, but I still love the game. Rayne is one of my favorite characters in gaming history. Sorry for your frustration with the platform puzzles.

This was the first game I played that I can recall ever using the word fuck without it being censored. I was shocked when I heard it but at that point I was wondering why games hadn't started using it freely in M rated games.

That is true. Bloodrayne is the first *Console* game to Officially ever say the word "fuck". Other games would "about" to say it but the word was either A) cut off or B) drowned out by some other noise. I was so taken aback to hearing it, I had to pause for like 20 minutes to fully grasp the gravity of this moment. This broke one of gaming's last barriers. It was so long ago.

I was stunningly surprised myself when playing. The mature tone really set a great mood for the game.

This is the best female lead character in a game I've ever played. I fell in love with Bloodrayne ever since. She became one of my favorite characters ever. I miss this game. Had so much fun playing it. The characters, the story, the mature tone: everything was memorable to me. How I wish they could remaster this and the second game. Give us a third game (not Betrayal) with Laura Bailey returning.

Thank goodness they got the perfect voice for her. I can't see anyone else portraying Rayne as great as Laura Bailey. Bloodrayne herself is just perfect: her design, voice, and the way she carries herself. We need more Bloodrayne.

I have bloodrayne 2 for the original xbox but I can play bloodrayne 2 on my xbox 360 but the first one I can't play it for the xbox 360 because it is not backwards compatible for the xbox 360

One of the oldest games i have ever played, and also one of the best...I really hope for a sequel, but i know that the chances for that to happen are really slim...At least thanks for reminding me of such a masterpiece of a game.

The music during the alternate ending reminds me of the temple theme from Tenchu Wrath of Heaven, which was also similar to music used in an episode of Deadliest Catch.

For sooo long ive played this i was 6 years old holy crap nostalgia

In addition to Rayne being a super badass character, I really liked the crispness and predictability of the conbat mechanics in this game. It's one of few games where if you master the controls - you can attempt to do a no-save game run start to finish, without dying due to control clunkiness (and your character doing something different from what you intended and dying). Also, the game doesn't have any cutscenes which drop you into a situation you'll most likely die the 1-st time it happens, because there's some obscure trick to beat a boss that you can't possible know beforehand. Combat (including boss fights) in Rayne can be challenging but intuitive and always make sense. There's never a case when you need to do some kind of obscure shenanigans to survive a level or beat a boss. On my 2-nd playthrough I've managed a no-reload play till going deep into the daemite liar (about 50% through the entire game), or HARD difficulty at that. Killed by a nearby RPG blast. Those start appearing in the 2-nd part, are one of the first splash damage enemies and the splash damage is harder to dodge - 'cause you must not only dodge the RPG but put some distance between Rayne and the blast. Another game with such a quality if STALKER: Call of Pripyat. Just about all other games I've played have one of the two flaws (often both): 1) Clunky controls causing your character to momentary get stuck or do something other than what you've intended - which can get you killed even if you made no mistake. 2) Difficulty spiked which are forced and/or unpredictable, and have a counterintuitive mechanic to succeed, giving you a near-zero chance of surviving on your 1-st attempt, unless you've watched spoilers and know what to expect beforehand. Witcher-3 being a great RPG but it has both of the above flaws :-D :-(

Actually she hooks them on her belt and slings the cannon across her back. Early in the game development it showed the weapons, but they decided they didn't like the way it looked so they removed them. However, if you enter SHOWMEMYWEAPONS as a cheat code, it will turn them back on. When I play, I always play with the following 'cheat' codes active. SHOWMEMYWEAPONS - As I said, shows weapons. BRIMSTONEINTHEBAYOU - Restores a deleted level in the prologue (pretty bland, I see why they deleted it, it's just another bio-mass to kill with no actual story to it.) JUGGYDANCESQUAD - Yea, um actually I kinda think this video has this cheat enabled... Makes Rayne's breasts bigger and bouncier. It's hilarious.

I remember when I actually skipped this part and went straight through the door. It was only the second or third time playing through that I heard the whole scene and was like "What in the world??!" The acting in this scene was brilliant. 😁

Did I ever tell you about my uncle the farmer? No what about you uncle the farmer. Well, my uncle is a farmer and has this bull named Big, everything about his is perfect except for one thing. Yea? Whats that? Its eyes, they're crossed. My uncle knew he could win first prize at the fair if he could only fix the bulls eyes. He tried everything to fix it, the vet, home remedies, you name it! So what did he do? Well one day a new farmhand, who wasent very smart, saw Big and said to my uncle, "You want us to fix that the bulls eyes for you?" My uncle said, "You can fix it?" to which the farmhand said "Sure, you got a lead pipe?" A lead pipe you said? Yea, being as my uncle he tried everything, he said "Yea I guess theres one in the shed, Ill go get it" He came back and handed the pipe to the farmhand. The farmhand took the pipe, and shoved it right up Bigs ass. Up his ass? Yea, but before my uncle could even say anything the farmhand blew into the pipe as hard as he could. Unbelievably, the bulls eyes uncrossed. Scheisse Wait wait, im not done. So the next day, my uncle wants to take the bull to the fair since its eyes are now fixed. But when he and the farmhand checked on the bull that morning its eyes are crossed again. My uncle says, "Let me try that trick" He takes the pipe, shoves it in poor Bigs rump and blows, nothing happens. He tries again, still nothing. He tries one more time, the veins in his forehead and neck bulge, his face turns red, he's blowing that hard! Let me guess, nothing? Yea, so the farmhand says "Here, let me do it. You're doing it wrong" He then proceeds to pull the pipe out, turn it around and shove it back in. The farmhand is just about to put his mouth on the filthy pipe then... Urggghh ...then my uncle says "What the hell are you doing boy?!" And the farmhand replies, "You dont think I want your germs do you?" Ughhhhhhh, Christ! That didnt really happen did it? It's a joke! Oh yea, I heard that one before What?

When Hedrox was permanently killed by Beliar, even though he was near impossible to beat, I was still sad to see him get taken out in such a dumb way. Would've been nice if they (Bloodrayne Devs) made Hedrox a 3rd member of that Final Boss Battle.

What a shame this series got more B movies than games. I miss BloodRayne. :(

They're on Steam though it's not a perfect port. Sometmes the last half second or so of audio is cut off of each sound file for some reason. So, like for example. "My name is Bloodray-" "What do you want, little gir-" "I am looking for my fath-"

Her character itself is one of the absolute best designs I've ever seen. She is a beauty, deadly yet delightful. Even Mynce with her double-agent status was pretty well written. The overall game is just a nice work of art. It will always be my top favorite female lead game.

Not gonna lie, Mengelle Bathory aka The Butcheress was an interesting character. Shame she was so quickly disposed of...

the first one is really really hard to get its a rare game but yuo can get this game as the cd in the blood rayne delivernce movie i own 3 copys of this game now part 2 is more easy to get for play sation 2 but i never found any full copys for the first game my self

you can use "dgvoodoo" to force the game to run in hd resolution. Then use shadowplay to record it

You can set the game run at any resolution you want just by manually changing it in "rayne.ini" file that is located inside the game folder.

Or maybe its just that their Girl Power level is too high. 😁 I mean as the conversation went in the beginning between Mynce and Rayne: Rayne- "Thanks for dragging me out here. I just love the water." Mynce- "You're only half-vampire. A dip might hurt, but it won't kill you." So maybe a few drops of rain simply is nothing to them. At least thats how I took it. This is a good thing as it would be a shame if neither of them couldn't stand a little rain. Thats embarrassing. 🙂

It really does. I loved the heck out of it. Still do, that's why they should just remaster this gem for the Playstation 4 or 5.

This game was clearly the brainchild of a few early 00s young adult men with not quite a full game production budget, who wanted *sooooo* bad for their Lara Croft to have jiggly CGI boobs in an RTCW setting. They were obviously inspired by Team Ninja's maverick mammaries in DOA2 on Dreamcast, but ended up with a worse result. This game is straight-up late 90s/early 00s cheese, but I never knew that this game had the semi-"bullet time" time-shift effect years before it became the gameplay centerpiece of F.E.A.R. Huh; learn something new every day...

iampanax ah i fixed it :) i was trying to set the affinity thingy for the cpu cores but it wouldnt let me so i took it off run as administrator and turned off the compatability mode then ran the game and ctrl shift esc on the 1st screen and set affinity to just cpu0 or what ever the 1st 1 is and that fixed it :)

No. This is what the game has always looked like, of course the image clarity depends on what resolution you set the game to run at. I run it at 1440p and it looks surprisingly nice for its age.

This game which I still have an og xbox copy of is a very cool coming together of b-movies. But it's rather serious and stylish. The gore is excessive and it's got disturbing vibes because of it's convincing blend of realism and the supernatural.

I mean they could have tried keeping their mouths closed instead of screaming

I actually remember that I tried to make that occur where Beliar kills Wulf first (kinda have to work to make that happen), unfortunately there's no cutscene (or even an option to save the game like when you kill either Wulf or Beliar), instead Beliar gets much stronger, he killed me in seconds by breathing fire

Boy the graphics didn't age well but it was good for a playstation 2

You know, I wonder if that really was Kommando. I mean we see a creature wearing his outfit, but we never see it happen when it comes to taking over. The guy probably thought it was too risky to stick around and probably thought faking his death would be a good idea. Like knock a Nazi soldier out cold, switch clothes, and leave the poor guy to his fate.
