I find it hilarious that you can use pretty much this exact playstyle in MHRise. They really were just like "what if MHGU but it was actually P3rd but it was actually MHW" when they made rise huh?

I can't say that I disagree. My friend told me that base rise was made by the mh tri devs. Yes it is a big hybrid of World, Gu, p3rd and frontier. That's the way I see Capcom moving forward. Taking the best stuff from each game and considering it into the next one. You can see how far monster hunter has come in 20 years. I can tell you there's nothing in the way of bringing back Palamutes and the follower system. Which I hope they do.

Development for Rise actually started at the same time or even a little before development for World started. It was even developed on the 3DS at the very beginning. I’m sure the teams shared notes and ideas but Rise sas already a thing before World even got released

@@HerEvilTwin yeah they started development around the same time as world but it was going to be another loading zone game as a kinda safe bet if world failed. Then they saw the runaway success of world and decided to retool it into the connected map game we see today

The timing window to chain guard is the same as from neutral tbh. The most important part is to make sure to just tap your R button and let go if you're going to adept block multiple hitboxes.
