The Angel's Tears are actually 5 points per model cheaper than a similarly equipped Destroyer squad. They also get to shoot both of their pistols so they get 4 S5 Deflag shots each, another thing to note is that they are Heavy so are slightly slower but have that reroll against blasts/templates.

Good discussion, thanks. A nice advantage of the Incaendius Dreadnought being in Fast Attack is that its a way to bring a dread without competing for the four elite slots that can easily be taken up by legion-specific goodies such as Angel's Tears, Dawnbreakers, and Crimson Paladins. Then there's Apothecaries for Sanguinary Priest flavour. That's easily four Elite slots taken up without going into multiples of the Legion special units.

Excellent review. Been using Sangy in just about every game. My discovery or combo's I use is that the sword has become the better choice. The re rolls for shred is excellent for taking out higher toughness targets without dropping those pesky 1's to wound which happens far to often. For example, with the spear I can never seem to 1 shot a dreadnought, but with the sword I do most of the time. Also, as I either put him with Dawnbreakers or Command squads, they are thinning out most of power fists and reducing their threat. Also, the +1 WS and his re rolling 4++ is just awesome!

The RG warlord trait 'The Bane of Tyrants' is +1A and +1S in a challenge increasing to +2 vs the enemy's Warlord - meaning Ralderon can get upto S9 with 7 attacks on the charge :)

Dawnbreakers in unison with guys with rad grenades (angels tears, zephon, normal destroyers) work really fine! Then their furious charge and +1S will mean they will double out termies or veterans :) Zephon has bitter duty so he can't go with dawnbreakers ;)

good synergy there between the units! good spot, one thing I think we mentioned a couple of times but didnt twig how common it was is theres a bunch of stacks within Blood angels to get ID at initiative it seems!

Many legions will have S6 at initiative and access to destroyers :) having some reliable rending (a lot of attacks with 6+ or rending 5+) will be important though. That's what I like about heresy, also it's going to be a little bit hard to pull off but I really like the combo and I feel like destroyers/angels tears are a pretty good unit, they will fight back pretty hard with 2atracks, countercharge and -1T. They are defensive

To your point about Dominion Zephon with bitter duty… bitter duty says a unit with bitter duty can’t be joined by a model without it, but it doesn’t say a model with it cannot join a unit without it. Dominion Zephon can join Dawnbreakers

The really frustrating thing about Zephon taking a Destroyer squad as a retinue is that, in the lore, the Blood Angels don't have Destroyers. They only have Angel's Tears. Why they didn't allow Zephon to take Angel's Tears as retinue is frustrating

I would love to hear from Archeins of the IX about their experiences with Day of Sorrows. Has an enemy baited you off an objective by shooting you to under 50%, and placing a unit at 12"?

I've these guides! Eagerly awaiting a Word Bearers review. I fear that they are under-powered (considering legion advs etc) or one dimensional e.g Gal Vorbak in a Spartan. I'm really unsure what a balanced build (that can be competitive to a degree) would look like.

I'm in a discord server and there's a couple of WB players and from what I can see they're very one dimensional yeah, Gal Vorbak inside a Spartan that's pretty much it sadly

@@Jommunism Its a shame really, Ashen circle with one wound writes them off. And the cost of dark channelling, tainted weapons, warpfire just seems to make basic choices that would be interesting nonviable. All that's left is to make deathstars which is uninspiring.

Brand new to HH 2.0 but long time gamer (40k etc). Gone for Blood Angels and this was a great video. Little bit worried about Day of Rev as that's what I'm basing my first army on. Just love the fluff and idea behind it. I know it's not 'great' but I think it's too fun not to use!

Credit to the scene! Last one. Do you put events on? I'm only Nottingham and guessing by your accents, you are not far away?

Interestingly, Chapter Master Raldoron cannot take a rite of war from the Dark Angels. As for the Day of Revelation, I still think it's playable but I wouldn't want to use it without Sanguinius as my warlord. Enjoyed the review, looking forward to the next one.

I'm curious, why are power spears/lances so overlooked? A spear of perdition for example trades a 18% chance at ap2 for 100% increase in initiative. If Brutal 2 can be useful on forcing the artificier sergeant to roll twice, wouldn't the spear, striking before a sword or maul, be similarly useful?

To he clear, I'm not saying spears are universally better. I wouldn't send an assault squad with four spears at a terminator squad if I had axes. But, bullying a heavy weapons squad or Recon squad? Gutting them at initiative 5 seems like a good call

the loss of toughness from rad weapons doesn't affect the strength threshold for instant kill's. so you still need to be S8 to instant kill marines.

@@travisvance619 there's nothing in the book indicating that, rad grenades do affects the threshold, they're toughness 3 and you need your strength to be 2 time the toughness so strength 6

Wait Sanguinius's buff is for units with the legiones Astartes blood angels. So Sanguinius is WS9 after a deep strike
