I absolutely agree with you 100%!!! All of his music is ao moving. You can feel the emotion and see the picture he saw composing this music. Its so beautiful. The "selah" moments in this piece to allow you to ponder on the picture painted through the chords/harmonies are breath taking. Im a huge fan of eric Whitacre and always will be!!! The harmonious genius composer of his time.
@OneForTheDollyBirds

Not just chords, but "tensions" also (i.e., harmonic tensions), and how the chords and tensions of his choice are actually played (i.e., "voiced," not to be confused with the use of human voices for the implementation of those "voicings," though clearly, human voices are the best choice because they are a complex string timbre that handles dissonance very, very well). Eric has GREAT MUSICAL TASTE and the know-how to implement it. His choice to write diatonic music (i.e., music that follows "keys") also has something to do with the magic that his music exudes.

+Aaron Norcia the Dubstep wasnt too beautiful too be honest, but I do admit that Im okay with it because it helps give the voices more of a dynamic shape. The crescendo in the dubstep track made the "big hit" sound epic. The music also helped covering up the holes in the music.
