#Blinken
Neither the United States nor China had high hopes from US Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s visit to Shanghai and Beijing but the idea was to build on the so-called momentum generated after the two presidents met late last year in the US.
The visit came close on the heels of America clearing a multi-billion-dollar foreign package, which includes aid for Taiwan and also for the US partners in the Indo-Pacific. China doesn’t seem to have taken too kindly to that.
Blinken met several top-ranking officials, including his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi and President Xi Jinping. And it each of the meetings, he harped on about managing bilateral differences responsibly.
Xi, borrowing from Chinese proverbs, had some blunt messaging for the US and Wang Yi did some plain talking.

Blinken visit to China achieved nothing, he went there complaining and making threats but the Chinese politely told him to go fly kite.

The fact that Blinken is not resigning after being ordered to perform all those personally degrading tasks, shows that he has nothing in front of him to go to. He surely knows most of what he has been doing damages his integrity. But he has to stay or perish. He doesn't want to be the second Nuland.

I said Blinken is a silly man for not learning or understanding what President X and Foreign Minister Wang Yi have been trying to educate him about China. Blinken has no understanding of Chinese culture, civilization or ethics. As representative of USA, his presentation is only at policy level unable to touch politics. He toured Shanghai. He tasted the delicious Shanghai food. He delivered Biden's greetings and messages as well as met the press.

As he got nothing out of this meeting, the next round of sanctions against China will be prepared this week. He can always say that he tried it first with talking to them.

China was uncomfortable with Blinken's visit as evidenced by the way he was treated, compounded with indications that China would certainly not want Biden being reelected, we can derive from the fact that the US current policies are unconducive to China's agenda, either on the fronts of political or economical, open or hidden - US policies are seeing results of its self interests.
