However, the thought of having lied to your mom, is something difficult to get over. And at the verge of death it's something you really would lIke to get off your chest. This song is great.

Yes i, back when this song was new, there was a news story where a kid killed himself with this song playing on repeat on the stereo… blink made an announcement after saying how this is an *ANTI* suic!de song after that (how sad is it I have to censor help for people)

I used to sing this when I was in middle school and I never understood it until recently. I'm in college now, and I see just how poetic and perfectly 182 captures angst-y emotion.

That is why he sings ""I couldn’t wait til I got home/To pass the time in my room alone" as well as "the tour is over we survived". Later AFTER the song was released a survivor of the Columbine Massacred committed suicide to this song but that was after it was released

The shattering of the apple juice cup it just perfectly visualizes my life shattering and the lack of control i felt at the time and the world closing in on me Glad that time is over in my life and seen brighter days

this song hits hard, here's the LONG context: okay, i have like a bullying past (always a victim) i am really shameful, introverted, and i hate fights and stuff like that. from 7 to 9 years old i suffered from bullying and mistreatment from other people from my same age. my bullies found in me an easy, little, weak, and stupid girl, that wouldn't say anything because she expected them to stop someday, or someone to stop them. i'm in high school now, and today, FUCK, i had a horrible experience with a girl named Kiara. like three months ago, we had a situation here's the context: i was standing in the bus, and she was sitting on one of my girl friend's legs, while they were talking, and I AM AN INTROVERT, so i just kept listening to music when suddenly this bitch tells me: "move, go away from here, see! there's a free seat on the front" i replied: "hey, just ignore me and pretend i dunno exist" and she said: "uhmm, i can't, move, please" i didn't move, i think i made the correct choice. well so, today we had this fucking terrible episode where i was sitting on the bus, and she went and said: "hey, can you move?" and i GAVE HER MY MF SEAT. okay, this ain't that bad, but then she was eating, and she PASSED HER FUCKING FINGERS ON MY SWEATER TO CLEAN THEM, and i got frozed. i didn't say anything, i was standing there, feeling abs SHOCKED while the WHORE WAS STARING AT ME WITH THIS LOOK, LIKE: "hey, you wanna fight?"
