    All the music here is under copyright. They allow its use, but as such, the copyright holder and KZread claim all revenue…and this channel cannot be monetized as a result. So I cannot grant you any permission to use the audio here and can only say that if you record with it, KZread will match the audio to the original owner and make your video the same as these…not able to be monetized, not considered “yours” and potentially not being able to monetize your own channel. They do a similar thing with covers of songs (if the singer is good enough for the algorithm to match the notes of the original song), but split revenue (though the percentage is not discussed…I’m guessing 99% to copyright holder and KZread and 1% to the singer). On average, on my instructional channel, each view is worth 1/3 of a cent. Just all the things to consider. For the sake of teachers, their students, and ukulele players everywhere, I’m Just glad the copyright holders allow us to even use the music, though a sliver of the monetization for making the videos would be nice, especially on the videos with 2 million views….

    I love it, Matthew! Speaking of the keyboard...I have a friend (the orchestra teacher at our school) who is in a bluegrass band, and the keys player plays Melodica in the band! It REALLY worked and shocked me (we think of the Melodica as a toy). So...if you want to try something, buy an inexpensive Melodica for your group and see how it goes! I was trying to remember if I had made a play along for "Dream a Little Dream of Me" and I haven't...but my friend Rachel Webley (Ukulaliens) has! Incidentally, I was looking at the channel...I have something like 498 GCEA play alongs, but some are the same song in two keys, and a handful are notation based. A few of them, like you know, are purely for kids. But I think I'm up to 410 different songs that I've created. You have played through a TON of music. So, thanks for the video! I really enjoyed it, and I'm glad the videos are bringing happiness into the world!

    @@ukeplayalongs Thanks! I hate being on camera, so of course I make a fool of myself, but, ya know. What I tried to say was we (as a band), play along to your channel after practice sometimes, and it's really enjoyable. Ukelaliens is particularly great for beginners (my friends daughter is interested in music, so we showed her mom some songs to start learning and playing along with her kid (she was pretty quick to learn). I'm a nerdy introvert, so I prefer to do the background stuff, and leave the talking to the pros. Next video I need to be banned from talking. I'll check out the melodica, and see if the keyboardist (racist against keyboards?) Umm piano player likes it. Thanks again, it was a great dive into music.

  • @ukeplayalongs

    @ukeplayalongs

    It depends on the key. You can sort through songs without G at ukeability.org. Also, G is the second most used ukulele chord: it is time to learn it and conquer it.

Creators earn no income for videos where music is claimed, even if they make the video part of the video!)
