Blind River, Ontario,. My Majestic stop in town - Sept 2021
Blind River, Ontario
I stopped in at Blind River (population 3,600) in Sept 2021 while driving back home after visit to Thunder Bay.
I appreciate very much Amanda and Rita taking a moment to talk to me. I plan to spend more in time in Blind River, next time.
Using a GoPro hero 9 with internal microphone, which I bought a week before my roadtrip.
I bought the Media Mod when I returned from my road-trip, having better results with background noise.
Plus set a shortcut for my the front/back mic now. My first GoPro, GoPro Website gopro.com/en/us

I've lived in several small Ontario towns.... click click click
Well almost, Blind River refers to the mouth of the “Blind River” and it not being visible from the water.

How come? So many people I’ve met say wonderful things about the town.

@@glennrodger-majesticvideo8789 it used to be, 17 or so years ago. When the video store/ice cream place was on the highway (Causley/Hawkins) but the old buildings (60 west) that i used to live in are a complete dive now/half motel and the boarded up townhouses on whats now called young fox (my girlfriend lived there) going back now is just so disappointing all the good memories i had at both those places. I still like all the nature aspects the boom camp, the beach, but everything else now makes it feel like a dying town that's just a pitstop on the transcanada. Edit: it really is dying after the comment i made here i started to think about blindriver so i looked up the Census and the population is actually down 8% since i lived there, Canada has record population and immigration but the town of blind river just keeps shrinking. Not just population but private dwellings have shrunk by 241
