The plan for the time being is to catch up to my monthly movie reactions on July 30th (Rise of the Guardians) and July 31st (Wolfwalkers), before trying to be fairly consistent in August. Of course, unlike lately, I should be largely free come the end of July and into August and hopefully beyond as well. Turns out, I overestimated my availability this month, but I figured I'd post this here since it'll be the last upload until July 30th, but things should be back to normal when the next video goes up.

Fun fact: The movie was originally gonna be about Nick. The idea was that predators were forced to wear shock collars to keep them from harming anyone. Nick would open up a fake doctors office so he'd be able to take them off. Judy would catch him and that's all I know thatwas planned, the movie would most likely go off as the rest of the movie did.

Yah the main reason they scrapped it was because you were supposed to *love* the world they built, but if they went the shock collar route then you would hate the world from the start because of how cruel it was.

@@aris7051 one way to do this is to wait for a copyright claim and dispute it. And Disney being the giant company it is won’t think a small channel would dispute it and won’t check again. If a month goes by without the copyright claim holder doing anything then the video is reinstated and can’t be copyright claimed again.

I think Judy was half being discriminated against and the other half not because it’s normal to not give big jobs to first day recruits lol like, if this movie weren’t what it was, she could’ve seriously endangered that otter’s life, if not gotten him killed. But it is what it is and she ended up being a hero. Which is fine. I’m not gonna say Chief Bogo wasn’t prejudiced, but, he was definitely in the right to give her safe jobs as a new recruit with no partner and no experience. Edit: lol another reason you don’t give these types of cases to noobs. She tried to intimidate a mob boss when she has no resources or reliable allies to back her up. She’s cocky and threatened mr big and is immediately almost killed if not for pure luck. Lol like wth Judy? You’re in his territory surrounded by giant ass polar bear body guards. Why did you think you’d be leaving after threatening him?

Yeah but that’s what I liked about it. She was idealistic and naive but she was trying to do her best, which makes her realistic. Somebody with her childhood of being bullied or demeaned for trying to become something that wasn’t normal would definitely grow up to make accusations like that once in a while. I like that we got to watch her grow as a person during all these trials. Absolute naivety and hubris for the polar bear incident, and it was very deus ex machina for her to have survived it, BUT that was really the only problem I had with the whole movie. It starts with me, it starts with all of us, she said. I know it’s so simple but we often overlook them.

@@yams.4308 I noticed that too. I honestly think that was probably a mistake or there’s an issue of having time to include them. There’s no reason to give recruits, Judy included, a missing mammal case on their first day to prove a point in this movie. They all look and sounded like they’d been partners for awhile.

Doug was also driving the van that almost hit Nick the first time we see Nick in the film. Doug is also the reporter who asked Judy about predators at the news conference.

I noticed it. And after I did, I did the math when Doug showed up on screen. It led me to believe that Belweather 's the mastermind behind the predator attacks.

I think it’s another example of prejudice based on something that makes sense on paper (big animals can maintain law through size and strength) but doesn’t work as well in practice. I remember there was a fanfiction where a “Small animals unit” was formed with Judy as the captain, where small animals are used for cases a large animal would struggle with. Buyer beware, it does involve “WildeHopps.” Also can I just say that I don’t get the hate some folk have for this ship? We’ve seen SO many cases of anthropomorphic animal characters of different species getting together (my favorite is Sly and Carmelita) but Nick and Judy get called out for some stupid reason.

There are also people who doesn't like the ship but I wouldn't call them hating on the ship. Most people who actually hate the ship though probably just think it's a "furry" think which I totally disagree. I remember watching this a couple years ago (probably during lockdown) for the hell of it and really enjoyed it! Zootopia is one of my most favorite animated movies and I was so disappointed to see the video had been taken when I tried to search for it months ago. Watched the movie again today and searched for this reaction once again on a whim. Thank the KZread gods that it’s been reuploaded! Downloading it ASAP!

In Polish we have our own name - "Zwierzogród" (which literally would translate to something like "Animalborough", I guess?). But it was also advertised as "Zootopia" and don't think, I've ever heard anyone refer to it as "Zootropolis".
