I like how the explanation that's given about why Wallflower isn't in any of the past movies is because she's erased the memories of any awkward interaction with someone else, effectively making her "invisible".

I _really_ like that theory too, and I _really_ wanted it to be the case, because it is much more cool that way. But I'm afraid there's a flaw in it: When Sunset Shimmer scans through Wallflower's memories, she's being "invisible" for quite a while _before_ finding the memory stone and _before_ she started using it.

Wallflower's talk about Sunset 'Not Changing' is based around despite her acting all nice around her friends and stuff, she still treats Wallflower the same, constantly ignoring and forgetting her. And disrespecting her, even turning off the lights when she's still in the room. Also I wonder if magic does exist on some level in this world. I've noticed in EQG they always make the distinction of calling it 'EQUESTRIAN Magic', so there could be some magic in this world, especially if they're all aware of the sudden impromptu musical numbers with background music people actually here.

Wallflower's dilemma is relatable to the maximum. Even when I shout or knudge someone in my school somehow nobody even acknowledges my existence. It's ridiculous how one's presence could be so thin it's almost invisible... I'm just lucky I was able to at least get great friends.

01:03:09 Well, where should I start?... 1. Sunset Shimmer reconciles with Celestia! 2. More Equestrian lore introduced (ironically, not in the original series :q ) 3. There's a restricted section in Canterlot Library. 4. Feet are canon! 5. Equestria Girls in beach costumes :3 6. Human World Trixie apparently can do Equestrian Magic. 7. Sunset Shimmer sacrifices her memories to save her friends. She proved herself being redeemed before, but never to this point and with that much of a devotion. 8. It was a well-written movie in comparison to the previous ones, especially the dialogues and humour. I like how the writer (Nick Confalone) used symbolism (e.g. photos, yearbooks, memory devices) and recurring themes (memories, forgetting and remembering things) to reinforce the message. These things are sprinkled all over the place in this movie. So it might not be the best movie in this bunch, but it's definitely up there for me.

Wallflower Blush. It takes a few times more to remember. ^_^

I love how everyone reacts to Trixie's magic escape. Yes, she is making acutal magic. It's explicit in the novelization. What this means to the future of the franchise is anyone's guess.

My theory: She's been swapped with Equestrian Trixie during her early childhood, so that the Human World Trixie is capable of doing Equestrian Magic but unaware of it (well, up until today), while the Equestrian Trixie cannot do real Magic because she's been from the Human World, and only recently learning how to do it from Starlight Glimmer.

Equestrian Trixie were always capable of using magic to steer her fireworks. It is more likely that the magic that has been brought over from Equestria has created background magic, and Trixie managed to tap into it with her mindset of "it WILL work".

Wallflower used the memory stone BECAUSE no one remembers her and NOT the other way around. Some people misunderstand that and assume wallflower using the memory stone is the reason for people forgetting her. They don't stop to think about what happened to wallflower before the memory stone was discovered. People never payed attention to her back then and that's why she uses the memory stone after she found it.

We never said she was forgotten "because" of the memory stone. We said its hypocritical for her to hate to be forgotten when she makes people forget things SHE doesn't want people to remember. In life you take the public speaking and awkward moments in stride and not back out on them.

Nyx Brony wallflower's memories has shown that she got the stone sometime during or after the friendship games. And this is what I was talking about

Sunset Shimmer referenced the Gettysburg Address when talking about the yearbook: "The world will little note nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here"

This EG special is really cool. First, we get a slightly longer intro. Second, more pony Sunset(love that). Third and possibly the best part, Sunset finally making amends to Celestia. I’d like for the two of them to get more screen time. I can’t wait to see other reactions towards that scene. Also, getting development from human Trixie was good too.

It's kinda ironic when the spin-off introduces more to the lore of the original show than the original show itself :q And when Celestia is being more useful and stronger in the spin-off than the original show :q And I agree, this movie was really up there, especially with the dialogues and humour. I also love how the writer used the symbols and recurring themes to reinforce the message of the plot.

I like to think the visual glitch was Wallflower's entrance into the film. After all, despite her claims she's not actually IN the song at all. I checked.

"Friendship Games" was a good movie indeed. But it lacked the secret ingredient that makes a movie EPIC, like the one in "Rainbow Rocks" (except maybe for the ending). Also, there's one thing in it that kinda ruined it for me: the fact that Twilight was opening portals to other worlds left and right and nobody seemed to be surprised by that. They were like "oh, a portal, with deadly flesh-eating plants coming out of it, nothing extraordinary here..." :q It just didn't seem fit in the movie. Another thing I thing could be executed better was the new characters from Crystal Prep Academy: their characters were underdeveloped and the fact that they were supposed to be the opposites of the Elements of Harmony was not exposed enough to be clear (the only indication of that is the opening credits and maybe two short scenes in the movie). If these two things were executed better, it would definitely be my #1. But taking for what they are, my #1 is "Rainbow Rocks", #2 is _ex equo_ "Legend of Everfree" and "Equestria Girls" (the first one; why? because of the Magic; even if there was a lot of plot holes, the Magic was definitely there, I could feel it), and last but not least, "Friendship Games". But I guess I have to revise my list after watching this one, because it was really well written :> Especially with the dialogues and humour, but the story was kinda good too. And I like how the writer used symbolism and recurring themes to reinforce the message of the plot :> (the motif of memories, remembering stuff, taking pictures etc. is sprinkled all around the movie). I think it may even compete for the first place with "Rainbow Rocks".

Timeline without Sunset's prime involvement, easy to explain. 1. Equestria Girls: Princess Twilight helps to defeat Sunset Shimmer. Sunset doesn't reform and is still punished. 2. Rainbow Rocks: Sunset is a no-factor in all of it. The Rainbooms with Princess Twilight's help defeat the Dazzlings with great difficulty. 3. Friendship Games: Sunset may or may not have been on the team for the games. Still gets angered at Sci-Twi for not knowing what she was doing with the magic. Spike manages to calm Twilight down in her Midnight Sparkle form or the girls use what they learned from Princess Twilight to snap her out of it. 4. Legend of Everfree: Not present.

That is true Shadow, but there is one flaw. You can get around Legend of Everfree by having Twilight motivate herself at the end, or have spike who is with her. But Rainbow Rocks has her specifically be part of the solution, TWICE. At the end like it shows. They needed her power and she powers up. But even before that. They get a message to Twilight BECAUSE of Sunset and the book that belongs to her. Heck, that's a massive plothole in this whole movie. Even DYWTBA brought it up. That just leaving the memories blank and not filling them in leaves noticable gaps and people will very quickly figure out something is wrong. Twilight should have noticed most of all. She only remembers 1 instance of meeting Sunset, and yet is just as fearful and hateful as the other 5? Especially all the evidences on all of their devices, or just talking to their family, or looking into school records, or any number of other things. It's just so very forced.

Actually, there's an even easier explanation. They just don't remember Sunset's role in any of these events at all. They happened exactly the same, and if you were to ask them about it they'd say they didn't remember.

But that A, proves that there is missing memories and that Sunset was telling the truth, and B, still doesn't explain how they would have gotten into contract with 'Princess Twilight' in Rainbow Rocks in a believable way. There is no way for them to know the book even exists unless Sunset tells them. Even if they stumble on it by accident, it written to princess Celestia and looks more like a very personal diary or penpal collection than a magical book that works across dimensions. Also, we, and sunset, see the memories. It isn't like Season 5 Final where time, or in this case memories, changed. They were the exact same. Just Sunset was fazed out of existence for them. So they would know someone helped them, just not remember that it was Sunset.

Also I noticed that they did seem to recall at least one instance where Sunset was erased, when Rarity had a deja vous moment about Trixie wanting to be included in the yearbook. And the point about the blanks not being filled in is true. They'd remember the events happening but not exactly how they happened. They would probably just do their best to fill in the blanks themselves and have varying and inconsistent accounts of what happened.

I'm with +Takashiro Chidori on this one. It's not about different timelines, it's about gaps in memories. And you're not aware of what you're not aware of. It's like in a dream: you don't remember how did you get there in the first place, you don't remember that you were falling asleep a while ago, but once you're there, and go with the flow of the dream, you think it is real and you don't see anything suspicious about it, unless you forcefully try to recall the missing pieces. Otherwise you just say, "Oh, I don't remember..." and move on.

In this reaction Goat and I seem like we're being kinda overly critical, but really it's just us rambling on about the "What if" environment that the primes of the movie gives us. with this equestria girls a timeline can be made.This reveals sunset has been in the human world for at least 3 years. This means The Fall Formal, Battle of Bands, Friendship Games and Legend of Everfree all happen during their third year. They are Juniors.This means moons= 1 month. so this does mean sunset was trapped as human for over two years.and this reveals that the first Sunset Shimmer is not the pony sunset.

Ehh, been there done that. Turns out, I'm too lazy for youtube. It was some bad gaming channel that lacked decent commentary. I'm kinda quiet on my own. I'd get hours of gaming recorded but never actually edit it and all that. So I just stopped and decided that I'd never try to revive that channel.

Well, maybe it's better that way, because - let's face it - there's a lot of gaming channels already, and to me, they all kinda look the same. I'd rather play the game myself than watch someone else play it, so I don't see the point, unless you are doing something extremely unusual in these games. Reaction videos, on the other hoof, are different: it's all about seeing people's genuine reactions to the stuff they see for the first time, their emotions, and thoughts they share in their commentaries. The reason I'm watching reactions is because I like to see things from many different points of view, and watching other people's reactions allow me for that: I can see what _they_ thought and felt, and oftentimes they have some interesting insights or noticed something that I missed. To the point that sometimes it makes me change my mind on an episode or a movie I watched, by giving me a more complete picture of it.

Oh, trust me, it's not a matter of maybe. It's just better this way. To be honest, I never really enjoyed doing it. I felt like I had to play a game for the recording, instead of for myself. But if I were to do reactions... kinda feel like I wouldn't be cut out for it either. I'm not as reactive as most of the reactors out there. At least not on my own. I just let things be the way they are and accept it, people too. I don't really get excited about things, get all that mad, or anything that makes a good reactor. Like I just re-watched this movie because I'm still awake at 5 am and had nothing better to do. I didn't complain nearly as much as I did here. the only problem I still had was... ok two problems were I still don't remember the villain's name and her motive. Also, that's a pretty interesting description of why you watch reactions. Most people just say stuff like "they're funny when they react".

It's because there are people who are just searching for the episode/movie to watch it online, and they find a commentary/reaction video, so they think that someone is "talking over the movie" they want to watch. They usually don't understand what a reaction video is all about, so they complain. Usually rudely, because they are angry. They wouldn't be angry if they understood the situation. So it's always nice to start with explaining to them what a reaction is. If they still complain, _then_ to hell with them ;J

Question_Mark This comment was two years ago, so I have a better idea of what blind commentaries and reactions should be. But that just means I still stand my what I said. :P The commentators have every right to talk as much as they want during the react, but in personal opinion, as long as they *understand what they're watching* because otherwise it's just rude if you're just ignoring the whole reactions. :/ I've seen a group of reactors who were watching the "Ace vs Natsu Death Battle", and they got mad because [Spoiler], Natsu won. But they went off on a tangent that Natsu "ate a Devil Fruit"? That's the sort of reactors I do not like, one that assumes they know the content they watch better than the ones who make it. But back to the point, there is no reason for people to tell the "commentator" to stop commentating, no matter how much they are. If they miss something, they'll be reminded in the comments. And let's be honest, a majority of people who ask for the commentator to "stop commentating" or "turn the video's volume up", are not asking for the commentator's sake, but their own. :/

The girls are in their third year. and with the red yearbook for 1 and the blue one for 2 and the newest purple one is year 3.this means 30 moons has to be 2 1/2 years. which means we finally has answer to this question that's been around since season 1 How Long is a Moon? the answer is revealed in this. and that means 1 moon=1 month!and it fits because sunset has only been there for 2 and a half a year because it explains her cluessness about the Friendship game Rivalry with crystal prep because she wasn't there and since there was no friendship during the second year they reused one to show that. so by this the first sunset picture has to be the sunset of the human world.so there is lot of hidden information to learn

Interesting theory. We do know Equestrian Magic is infectious (mere contact with a human enhances their basic normal abilities first, then warping reality like their pony counterpart would. But there are two problems: a) Without the mirror, it is unlikely that a pony would casually end in the human world [it was guarded by Celestia in her throne room, so it would had to happen at night, in the most "sacred" part of the Canterlot Castle on those 3 days it is active by default]. -> What could be the motivation for an adult pony (Trixie´s mother?) to switch a foal with their human counterpart? [Perhaps preventing a curse to function by sending her to a "World Without Magic"?]. b) Either of the Trixies should be unable to do magic in their oposite world. . Just like Sunset Shimmer could not do any magic as a human in C.H.S. for years (she surely try EVERYTHING and fail, as it is supposed to be also the case for the sirens now). . The "humane" Trixie would grow up normally as a filly until the age were unicorns start getting their first emotional-driven magic spurts [like Sweetie Belle in the Babs Seed episode]; getting only worried about her "late bloom" as she ages. -> There is also a problem with her cutiemark. We do know that magicless ponies (via Tirek´s draining) do not "lose" them, but rather they become invisible. If she had no magic, how did she get it? (alongside her minor spells shown in S1E06).

Clover the Clever is a stallion and not a mare? That’s gonna cause some problems in pony fanfics and head canons.

I am surprised you forgot the antagonist’s name. Then again she was featured so little in this film but I will remind you of her name. It’s “Wallflower Blush” and her color scheme is mostly consisting of green there by making her character blend into the background. Most of the other characters in the EQG universe have color schemes and outfits that make them stand out/pop. Wallflower overuses the power of the memory stone too much and erases her existence from everyone’s minds. Even Sunset forgot her, but in Wallflower’s mind she only remembered Sunset from EQG 1 (Freshman year of High School). Yet if she constantly kept using memory wipes on everyone she’s ever met why is she complaining about being forgotten.

I think she just enjoys the heat of the sunlight. I am not sure if any of them can get "tanned" at all (we only do know redheads like Sunset and Pinkie DO NEED sunscreen [to not get burned].

She's not saying that. She's mad because everyone praises Sunset but Wallflower was never treated well. But that has her own fault, she was already removing small memories. Since she felt like Sunset was being mean to her, and she was used to memories, she went too far

About the map being open considering twilight was standing right there, she knew sunset was coming, and we know if u place the book on the portal the magic forces it to open, and I remember one reactor pointed out that Celestia and Luna pulled their specific book, so what if u must have Celestia and Luna's magic to open that secret passage, also clover the clever was starswirl's apprentice, the one twilight played as on the first hearth's warming episode when we learned about the founding of Equestria

So I have found a fault in MLP's logic now! MLP's Logic seems to be: If you want to be friends with someone, be a completely evil and unredemable person. And eventually they will defeat you and be friends with you! This has happened with Luna, Discord, Sunset, Starlight, Thorax, The movie chick, Trixie, and now... Uh... Whoever the villain in this one was. I can't remember.

She wanted the magic. More than anything. Enough to unleash ultimate power with no care about what untold damage it could do. So I would say EqG Twilight was pretty evil. Also Thorax was too evil. He was a changeling, so must have been in the invasion during the Wedding. So the Changelings were beaten, and then Spike became friends with him! See, be evil first, then the good guys will beat you, and then befriend you! The ultimate was of getting friends!

Overall I enjoyed this reaction. A good TV movie, but it could have been better.

Hm... second time watching Forgotten Friendship, I guess there are some things that poke out, like; "On the third day- blah blah blah!!!" which to be honest, does annoy me a bit. XD But understandable. And how nobody stumbled across the garden. Then again not many people during the current era are as interested with gardening as they are with electronics.

Yay, I'm not the only one that got that! But seriously, how many times have we seen that sort of security magic and you guys being oblivious when you see it in the movies? I mean, sure, I'm (arguably) the biggest nerd when it comes to this, but you count an RP as an actual story world and you tend to just make up new powers pretending you know it all by making logical theories about it. In short... it's magic, anything can happen.

They were hipnotized by Sunset, so they had at least "a bit" of magic inside their bodies. Also, she could just transform them into lesser demon minions like Snips and Snails before making them passthrough (at minimum it will give them wings), so the ones who would be earth ponies, unicorns and donkeys [Cranky] in Equestria could follow her without a serious tactical disadvantage [also, since the mirror was in the Crystal Empire by then, they would not be slowed down by the ice and snow when they march to Canterlot].

Oh my fuck, Wall flower. My best friend used that terminology, and he himself was a wall flower. This movie didn't need to exist. Refer to the after-movie rant to get my explanation. Also, when I noticed him and his projects... we actually shared a connection there. I mean, legit, we were in high school and he invited me on some sort of crazy satisfying field trip. Fast forward to now, I have no idea what he's up to. But hey, that's life.

The whole lore parts in the library, for example that Clover the Clever is actually a stallion, also the moment when Sunset says that Celestia didn't have a sense of humor, and the "battle" of Sunset and Trixie. I noticed that you laughed when SS repeats what she called Trixie, but the actual moment you completely ignored, then when Wallflower talks about herself and the garden (before the song)... There a tons of moments where I thought "wasn't she supposed to say this line somewhere around here?.. OH WAIT SHE DID. THEY ARE JUST TOO LOUD TO HEAR!"

Well I did get that Clover was a guy. I heard the joke about celestia's sense of humor. If you mean the whole stare down in the hallway with Sunset and Trixie, I got that whole scene. I'm not sure what you mean by I ignored the moment of Sunset calling her a blowhard. And honestly I remember just about everything of Wallflower except her name most of the time. Is there anything else you think I'm missing?

These "obvious" things you're mentioning only seem obvious to you because you don't get what they're implying. Obviously the books that lead to the restricted section only react to Celestia and Luna's magic. If not, I bet Twilight would've found the restricted section ages ago. And plus, the portal only opens up when Twilight's journal is placed on the pedestal, and Twilight usually has the journal with her so she can write back to Sunset. Twilight opens the portal when she is expecting Sunset to come through. I know that the series is mainly intended for kids, but that doesn't mean nothing is thought out properly.

Is the audio weird for anyone else?
