i think with an attitude like his this he has a lot of advantages, he doesnt stop learning new things and discovering. It makes him by default an interesting person, because people really want to get a glimpse of this dudes life, and since he doesnt let disadvantages drag him down he can enjoy the upsides even more. wouldnt be sure to call his state something that should be wished for, but every time i see blind people who have been blind all their life, they're just so happy and outgoing. idk

I can sort of understand how difficult it is to describe colors for a blind person. I am the mere opposite of him in the context of this video - I'm not blind, but I lack a sense of smell. I know what oranges and black licorice taste like, but if the smell is different, I got no idea. I always get happy whenever people tell me that I smell good, because the way my deodorant tastes (I had to try) is just bitter, dry and disgusting.

Haha, depends exactly what you mean by eating farts... I can't say I've ever felt the taste of a fart. There are different things I can't really sense, I tried some hookah with strawberry flavor a couple of years back. I didn't sense a thing, but my friends did. It was just smoke for me.

The concept of colors are just words to blind people blows my mind imagine never having seen a color but know the word

My cousin did a science project in elementary school that tested how colors affected the taste of food. he got some clear gelatin and flavoring, but colored the gelatin differently than it would be sold normally. most people guessed the flavor incorrectly as a result. very interesting study.

OnlyMichaelJackson (Angel) we already know they exist. The point was they don't typically come in smaller packs like this. White markers are usually specialized in some way, like paint markers or bleach markers.

Do you know, I recently discovered Tommy's channel. I have chronic depression, have done for 30+ years. Borderline Personality Disorder for about the same and also Asperger. On my worst days i watch Tommy's channel. This guy is a legend, it reminds me that things for me aren't so bad, even if i can't help it. I have my sight and Tommy although not having sight is so upbeat about it , it puts my troubles into perspective . He is a true legend, he just gets on and deals with it even making light of it. I'm not really coming across to well about what i am trying to say but he is such an inspiration. Thanks Tommy you give me the kick in the ass i need.

Watermelons are red, but it's a very bright red, not blood red, so it's almost pink. They turned a blind eye for a blind

This reminds me of that Vsauce video where "is my red the same as your red?" question is asked. Its so strange and interesting. Especially watching someone who has been blind their entire life, blind people like that have no concept of what a "color" actually is since you can't describe what a specific color looks like so its really interesting since they guess base off a memory of experiences. :) this was really neat!

yeah when he was talking qualia and the unexplanatory gap. Its really crazy to wrap your mind around and see how difficult and nearly impossible it is to explain and define certain colors as if it is a failure in own language.
