He enjoyed Blind Guardian with his friends in Wacken open air and his friend still keep telling me funny stories about their "adventures". They still do miss him a lot, as do I.

I came here for feel and feels I've had.

My son's music teacher at school: "for next week, choose a song which gives you emotions, bring it on a pendrive or email it to me, we'll play it in class and you'll tell what the song means to you". Son (11 years old) chooses The Bard's song. Me "Aye, young one, thou hast proven thyself worthy. Thou shalt wield the family sword."

This is so fcking beautiful and reminiscent of the modesty that live in them I love how the meaning of the song appears when performed live : when Hansi stops to sing and the public starts singing on its own for some long seconds, you know that their bard’s song will remain and their stories will be remembered even after them. It always takes me to the throat

In my last will, I've specified that this is the song I want to be played at my funeral (which might be coming sooner than expected). I think it embodies the whole spirit of being a "bard", an entertainer, a musician, and how it feels like to leave this world, but also leave something to be enjoyed behind. Im 11 year old and a big fan of blind guardian from Serbia, you are my favourite band of all times:)

This song actually helps calm my anxiety when it’s feeling out of control. Just discovered this amazing piece a few days ago. This song doesn't have to be mainstream. Just appreciate the song and feel the magic. The mainstream always tends to be hated.

Not gonna lie, this song makes well up a bit. Not sure why, but the guitars with the beautiful lyrics just hit me right in the feels.

Best version... Period!

On this particular sad day, it brings me tears to me eyes, and hope that we will survive the aggression of the dark ruler in the east.

I think this song is poetic as hell, my interpretation of it is "I don't care if you remember my face, I just want you to look fondly back on tonight and remember a happy time when you leave here"
