I think the ending where you break the loop and are left alone in your apartment with your selfdoubt telling you to hurry to the actual date leads into the good ending where we see Aaron-Joshua celebrating his actual anniversary with Karen. I have no insight on the goose ending though and I imagine that's the point of it.

I think the goose ending is basically the mc distracting himself from his anxiety? Because the goose isnt that mean to him, it even compliments him om his goose skill, so i think its like a distraction

I like how the message of the game is literally "don't be so hard on yourself, anyone can find a date if they stop indulging themselves in self pity and actually try improve themselves and socialize" but most of the people in the comments are just doing exactly that, it's like the very point the game was trying to make just went right over their heads.

Yeah, like as a person with anxiety I feel like when (or if) I go on date later on I'd imagine a super exaggerated horrible situation, when in reality it would go well or just be awkward. It really is interesting to read about how people connect to the game, or their experiences with mental disorders.

I really like this game's theme about struggling with struggling with confidence and selfworth. It's something many people think about even without the context of dates.

This game hits me hard and I don't even have that terrible self esteem issues. I love when games tackle mental illness, it's a great way to understand people who are actually going through these phases.

_Taking risks is a good thing_ You might meet a cool goose. Even if that goose dismembers you, you would never be able to say it wasn't memorable. Agree that it came to the psychoanalysis part too quick with the reference to "Karen" knowing your mother included. I also wish the game would've numbered the endings or given some idea of which you had completed - a couple seemed extremely similar. The best one was him celebrating a one year anniversary with his real girl.

This date is just as off the rails as my depressive episodes, constantly a battle between being self abusive and trying to hold it back a bit. Before that final moment of self awareness, "Do you really think they'd talk to you like this?" Cause in the end you're just making stuff up about what could be and imagining it's awful just to beat yourself up.

I used to think this way too, until I got a girlfriend. To everyone who thinks "I will never find someone", it takes TWO THINGS to change this. 1: know who you are. They always say confidence is key, and this is true. If you have a garbage personality, you won't attract anyone. Be kind, be honey, attract people who want to be attracted. Your grooming, your social skills, all of it, work on it. 2: know where to look. It honestly takes a bit of dedication, and luck, to find people. For me, OKcupid did wonders. Don't just drop into people's DM's with a "sup", bust out those funny one-liners. When you secure a date, just be yourself. Seriously, there's a reason people keep saying it, it actually works. The only person worth being with, is someone who actually wants to be with you, the real you.

Wow, delivering a mental synopsis of me and then telling me not to be so hard on myself, all while under a guise that this was supposed to be a horror game. This is probably the most mentally relieving game I've seen in a while actually. It's kinda like actually venting out through other means.

As someone with depression and anxiety this game makes a lot of sense i can say i found myself in this scenario more than once. sometimes you just refuse a great opportunity just because you're afraid of what might happen when in reality there's no way to know, your mind creates all these scenarios where stuff goes wrong or stuff goes right and it all becomes so overwhelming you might decide to stop and just stay home. All the endings are the true ending at some extent, he imagined all of them, his anxiety showed him all of them but YOU as a person get to decide which one is the real ending, you decide if that loop happens again or not. I myself have to get out of the loop still

If I literally went on a blind date like that, I’m gonna go “your my problem, your the reason why I’m unhappy”

From what I took from this is you can never actually move on and find true love if you don't love yourself. Even if you are somewhat a cold or miserable person, your heart just aches to be loved. You develop self lots of self doubt, and no matter how much you try to find someone, you just continue the cycle of disappointment and often times attract someone who either worsens you or wants nothing to do with you because "you too are miserable." There is a way out, and it's not always a person who will make you feel worthy; it's how you make you feel worthy. Then there's the goose...🤨

Thanks for eating away at my psyche, voice in my head that sounds manly and badass.
