At one point in time, I hated religion, I never imagined I would actually repeat a prayer. A few months ago while flipping through the channels, I stumbled on Pastor Joel, it was his positive message that got me first. I had always refuted religion. I have become open, and really changed as a person. Pastor Joel's way of saying things, and his promotion of positivity brighten up my day. I am thankful for his inspiration, as a non- believer I appreciate how non-judgmental his style of sermons are taught. I never thought I would say this, but I think I might be becoming a Christian. Thank you Pastor Joel.

I remember when l had my brain injury. And l had a shirt that said. I am too blessed to be stressed. Love listening to Pastor Joel. And l loved coming to the church. Praying to be in Houston forever. I Love Houston. Amen l always tell people what God says You have not cause you ask not. Hallelujah!!!!. He's a Big Big God!!!

Tonight I start to Pray differently. To Pray for Mega Abundance. I'm sure that I can Break Through the family Boundaries. To Supercede what the Past Elders couldn't surpass. MY LIFE WAS CHANGED FOREVER ALMOST 5 YEARS AGO. I HAD BEEN A REGISTERED NURSE FOR ALMOST 20 YEARS AND LOVED HELPING MY PATIENTS. ON THE MORNING OF MAY 25, 2015 , I OPENED A HOSPICE CASE FOR A FAMILY THAT WAS VERY DISTRAUGHT BY THE CANCER DIAGNOSIS OF HER HUSBAND AND ALL OF THEIR CHILDREN WERE AT THE BEDSIDE. WHEN I ARRIVED TO THE SKILLED NURSING FACILITY I WAS GREETED AT THE DOOR BY THE DOCTOR WHO WAS CARING FOR THIS PATIENT. I HAD NEVER IN ALL MY YEARS HAD A DOCTOR WAITING FOR ME TO ARRIVE IN THAT WAY....HE WAS VERY KIND AND CARING AND HAD TOLD ME THAT THE PATIENT I WAS GOING TO SEE HAD BEEN THROUGH EVERY TREATMENT AND WAS FLOWN BACK FROM TEXAS BY HIS FAMILY BY AIR AMBULANCE. THE PATIENT AND HIS FAMILY RESIDED IN NEW YORK AND THEY WERE AWAITING MY HELP TO TRANSFER THEIR LOVED ONE TO THE HOSPICE INN FOR A MORE PEACEFUL ENVIRONMENT TO CARE FOR HIM IN A DIGNIFIED WAY. WHEN I WALKED INTO THE SMALL PATIENTS ROOM IT WAS FILLED WITH HIS WIFE AND CHILDREN, I INTRODUCED MYSELF AND ACCESSED MY PATIENT WHO WAS AT THE END STAGE OF DYING. I EMBRACED THE FAMILY AND QUICKLY WENT TO THE NURSING STATION TO OBTAIN A BED AT THE HOSPICE INN. I KNEW THE HOSPICE INN ON MY OWN PERSONAL LEVEL WHEN MY CLOSE COUSIN WAS DYING OF CANCER AT THE AGE OF 52, AND I FOUND GREAT PEACE AND EXCELLENT NURSING STAFF THERE TO CARE FOR MY COUSIN WHO PASSED WITH DIGNITY AND COMFORT. TO MY SURPRISE WHEN I CALLED THE HOSPICE INN HAD ONE BED AVAILABLE, BUT I HAD TO TRANSFER THE PATIENT WITHIN A 2 HOUR WINDOW. I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE THE DOCTOR AND FAMILY AVAILABLE TO COMPLETE ALL THE DOCUMENTATION. WHEN I WENT TO TELL THE PATIENTS WIFE AND FAMILY THAT THERE LOVED ONE WOULD BE TRANSFERRED WITHIN AN HOUR; THEY HUGGED ME AND HIS WIFE STARTED TO CRY AND THE FAMILY WERE ALL VERY GRATEFUL. I WAS SO GRATEFUL THAT EVERYTHING WENT WITH SUCH EASE. IN THE PAST I FOUND TRYING TO TRANSFER A PATIENT ON A HOLIDAY TO A SPECIALIZED FACILITY VERY DIFFICULT. WHEN I SPOKE WITH HIS WIFE I ASKED HER ABOUT HER EXPERIENCE IN TEXAS. SHE REPLIED THAT THE CARE OF THE DOCTORS AND NURSES WERE EXCEPTIONAL, BUT SADDENED THAT THE TREATMENT HAD NOT WORKED. IN THE COURSE OF OUR CONVERSATION SHE MENTIONED SHE HAD MET JOEL OSTEEN IN TEXAS AND THAT ONE OF THE NURSES WAS A MEMBER OF LAKEWOOD AND INVITED HER AND HER DAUGHTER TO THE SUNDAY SERVICE THE NEXT DAY, AND SHE SAID SHE HAD NO FORMAL CLOTHES TO WEAR AND DID NOT HAVE TRANSPORTATION. THE NURSE ARRANGED FOR A LIMOUSINE TO PICK HER AND HER DAUGHTER UP THE NEXT MORNING. WHEN THEY ARRIVED TO LAKEWOOD THEY WERE GREETED BY THE NURSE WHO BROUGHT THEM INTO A ROOM. THEN SHE SAID JOEL OSTEEN AND A SMALL GROUP PRAYED TOGETHER FOR HER HUSBAND AND THAT THEY FELT SO WELCOMED AND COULD NOT BELIEVE THAT JOEL OSTEEN WOULD ACTUALLY PRAY WITH THEM. THEY WERE THEN BROUGHT TO THE FRONT ROW AND FELT LOVED AND FOUND PEACE THEY WERE NOT EXPECTING. I TOLD HER THAT MY MOTHER HAD ALZHEIMERS AND WE WOULD WATCH JOEL OSTEEN EVERY SUNDAY MORNING TOGETHER AND I WONDERED IF JOEL WAS AS HE APPEARED ON THE TELEVISION. THAT MOMENT CONFIRMED THAT JOEL OSTEEN MESSAGE WAS SINCERE AND GAVE ME GREAT PEACE. WHEN I LEFT THE SKILLED NURSING HOME AFTER THE PATIENT WAS TRANSFERRED BY AMBULANCE AND HIS FAMIY HAD LEFT, I SAT IN MY CAR AND PRAYED AND THANKED GOD FOR THE BEAUTIFUL EXPERIENCE OF HELPING A FAMILY FIND PEACE AND PRAYED FOR MY PATIENT AND FAMILY MEMBERS. I THANKED GOD FOR THE CONFIRMATION I RECEIVED THAT JOEL OSTEEN WAS AS HE APPEARED. AS I LEFT THE FACILITY IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL SUNNY MEMORIAL DAY AND I HAD FINISHED MY DOCUMENTATION FOR THE DAY. I TRULY FELT THAT MY CALLING AS A NURSE WAS THE PATH THAT GOD HAD WANTED ME TO BE ON AND WAS GRATEFUL. LITTLE DID I KNOW THAT TWO HOURS AFTER I WOULD SUSTAIN A TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY AND THAT I WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO WORK AS A NURSE AGAIN. ALL MY SCHOOLING AND EXPERIENCE AS A NURSE WAS LOST THAT DAY AND ITS TAKEN FIVE YEARS TO RECOVER TO THE POINT OF REGAINING SOME OF MY INDEPENDENCE. MY HUSBAND HAD TO STOP WORKING TO CARE FOR ME AND WE HAD USED ALL OUR SAVINGS TO SUSTAIN OUR HOME THAT WE HAD BOUGHT THIRTY YEARS AGO. MY HUSBAND AND MY SONS WERE NOW MY CAREGIVER, AND I HAD FELT A. TREMENDOUS LOSS AND SADNESS THAT I WOULD NEVER BE THE PERSON I WAS AND DID NOT WANT TO BE A BURDEN TO MY FAMILY. I THOUGHT OF ENDING MY LIFE, BUT I KNEW I HAD TO FIGHT AND PRAY AND HAVE FAITH IN GODS WILL. I CONTINUED TO THINK OF THAT DAY AND RECEIVING CONFIRMATION OF GODS WILL NOT MINE BE DONE. I WATCHED JOEL OSTEEN AND THROUGH MY DEPRESSION AND TEARS CONTINUED TO PRAY EVERYDAY. ABOUT A YEAR AFTER MY TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY I WAS PRAYING WHEN I BELIEVE I RECEIVED DIVINE INTERVENTION ....I FELT A LOVE THAT WAS SO INTENSE AND A LIGHT THAT EMBRACED ME AND TOOK AWAY MY DEPRESSION AND TEARS AND A MESSAGE TO NEVER GIVE UP THAT I STILL HAD WORK TO DO BUT IT WAS GOING TO BE A DIFFERENT KIND OF GODS WORK AND IT CENTERED AROUND LOVE AND FAMILY. ITS BEEN EXTREMELY CHALLENGING BUT I NOW KNOW THAT I AM STILL HERE FOR A REASON AND TO CONTINUE TO KEEP GOD FIRST PLACE. MANY MIRACLES IN MY LIFE HAVE HAPPENED SINCE THAT DAY, AND I HAVE BEEN HUMBLED AND HAVE INSIGHT INTO WHAT ITS LIKE TO TRULY STRUGGLE WITH THE CHALLENGES OF A TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY. I PRAY THAT I CAN VALIDATE OTHERS WHO HAVE TRAVELED THROUGH THIS HUMBLING JOURNEY TO FIND GOD AND PEACE ALWAYS THERE FOR US ALL. I AM SO GRATEFUL FOR EVERYTHING GOD HAS PUT IN PATH, THE BEAUTIFUL, THE LOVE OF MY FAMILY BUT ALSO THE TRAGEDY OF LIFE. I was an average student before I became a Christian. Just getting enough to pass. Then through my father I became a born again Christian and when I was preparing for my exam my dad gave me a really good piece of advice. He said study hard do your part and then right before you start the exam say a prayer that God will bring it back to your remembrance. I aced that exam I was in the 90's and I remember the teacher commenting on me saying I got the highest grade of them all. God will hear and answer that prayer. It worked for me. I was never again an average student!

God open the door for me that looks impossible. Never be intimidated by my enemies

It was meant for me to read your comment sweetheart...I pray that it inspires you and others who maybe in a similar situation. I have a son who is 21 now. He was born SEVERELY delayed, at 6 months of age I saw that he didn't try do things that he should've been doing at that age. I would sit him in his carrier, he wouldn't attempt to move around or even sit up. I would lay him on his stomach and he couldn't lift his head. I became worried that something could be wrong. I took him to the doctor, and addressed my concerns...low and behold they confirmed my worst nightmare. He was tested, he had an MRI done eventually and they said that he had a form of Autism and ADD ! They said that he probably wouldn't be able to talk, or walk ever. They said (Doctors) that his head was too large for his body and that he could have a brain tumor. I was SICK ! I cried like a baby, more test were run and they even fitted him for braces on his legs. That was the final straw for me, I prayed harder than I ever have in my life for my child to be healed. I was in and out of doctor's offices for most of his childhood, and I thought that things were just going to be that way. I was WRONG and so were the DOCTOR's !!! At the age of 4 my son started walking and by the age of 6 I could totally understand what he was saying. He never developed a brain tumor, not once did he have to wear leg braces. He's grown now, he lives alone, he can take care of himself...he can hold his own bottle..lol...he shows no signs of ever being delayed, No ADD symptoms or any form of Autism. He talks like he reads the dictionary and the encyclopedia daily. He is intelligent, he has a job, he has his driver's license and he graduated high school. He made the A-B honor roll his entire 6th grade year, he knows more about oldies music than I do. Lol...He plans to start college in the fall and take up Business Administration. GOD can change any situation and believe me when I say the road is lonely, dark, and sometimes long as ever. However, please don't give up and TRUST GOD regardless of what it looks like or what you've been told. Your child is healed in Jesus name and you speak life over your baby. It will get better dear, and I pray that you find the peace you need in this situation. I'll pray for you and your child as well. Have a tremendously blessed day in the Lord, ALL IS WELL !!!!

Earth Reign thanks for telling your story! How inspirational and how God worked in your son’s life! This gives me hope. My son was completely “normal” saying a few words then lost them around 15 months old. He is now 5 still considered nonverbal autism. He is still not potty trained completely but has came a long ways. He has had a few pop out words since losing his speech. I have big dreams for him and I know God can heal him. ❤️🙏

In School /College.. I did not get good grades... I was doing nursing then n read d bible everyday n prayed to Jesus n I got Distinction in all d 3 years... it was a real miracle. My daughter was doing her M.Com.Part 1 n she did go for classes n so her paper in Accounts did not go well ..she was worried n thought she would fail 😣 I told her to pray n she prayed to Jesus to pass her n Jesus made her stand 1st in d class..Pastor Joel is right pray n u will be blessed indeed💕

I never realized that I was limiting my own blessings with a limited prayer to God, now it is definitely going to be "Bless me INDEED!!!!!"

I went out to my car so sad about my child. I had to move my car and on the radio Joel olsteen was saying to believe big for your child. I couldn't believe it my jaw dropped. the timing was incredible 😍. And this is not the first time this has happened it happens over and over again. Thank you Lord.
