I know this has been uploaded quite a while ago, but in case you see this - thank you THANK YOU, as someone who is reconnecting with my culture, I find it so important and meaningful to find content on this from actual indigenous creators- not pretendians or white people interested in cryptids sharing well intended but still very much misinformation. Videos like this are so important
I've seen a Thunderbird at 13. I was always open about it..and it was raining that morning and the night before, but it was sprinkling. My friend and I were at the middle school because her dad was the track coach. We went for a walk in the woods. We were walking up the ravine way and all of a sudden..whoosh. I turned around. She didn't. I saw it clear as day. It was so large it filled the entire ravine. I could see the back of its head, it's notch. I was always open about it, but thought it was a pterodactyl until I was in my late 20s. My dad is half Cherokee. I wasn't raised traditionally but guided spiritually my entire life. I also was 6 ft away from a UFO in daytime with 2 other people at 18 here in lake erie, my home, which I know has its own magic. The Thunderbird, thunderbeings, etc. have been part of so many synchronicities and guidance in my daily life. live with one life in this world, one life in the spirit world, navigating both. I love my life. Thank you for helping me pass this on to my boys too, offering tobacco. I don't have many of my own stories to tell my kids before bed but they love my Thunderbird story and one night my 4 year old asked me to say it over and over and over until he fell asleep.
Thank you for making this beautiful video
This is why I always get the urge to smoke during the rain
chi Miigwech! I really appreciate this knowledge, these Teachings! Shout out from Bkejwanong Unceded Territory!

Very powerful being we are
I was in San Diego last summer, they started a conservation program in the 1980's for the California Condor, they stated it was known as the Thunderbird among Indigenous people. I wonder how they would describe the efforts to reestablish the Condor.
Thunder birds and knowledge. ? Picture of thunder birds had a triangular shape!

I went to the collage. My one best experience was there. I am that thunderer...at least that is what i was told.
thank you
Although a white-man, all those words are no stories...but knowledge and teachings from the Elders. I have great respect for the mighty Thunderbirds, and my wife always argue with me because I like to go out and meet them... I'll try not to forget to leave them a tobacco offering…! Thanks for sharing Blessings from across the Great-Pond

Thank you for sharing. I live in a beach town. I know of an acquaintance who has been struck by lightning twice (2 times) He can tell before a storm arrives and is Leary of storms. I am glad he shared this with me as I do not see him very often and occasionally see him in my work environment. Also when I attended a University in Houston I was told that one of the teachers (Theology - a Father) had been struck 3 times in his life by lightning. I did not have this teacher but all the students spoke of him getting struck by lightning.

Please explain about the four different Thunderbirds. And their meaning. What does it means for each different thunderbird to show themselves to you in their physical form? Thank you very much!!!

I want to know too!
I almost came across with a Thunderbird nest without realizing it when I decided to climb on this certain mountain. But boy! It sure did gave me a hell of a warning not to continue climbing on that mountain. I tugged tail and climbed back down.

@@clobbyhops well the first strange thing that happen before it all got crazy is when it started to rain very lightly when I was claiming the mountain. The only reason why it was strange is cuz there wer no clouds on sight. Why would it drizzled very lightly with no clouds on top of me? The next thing that happened when I was in the middle of the mountain, a great burst of wind came out of nowhere and with the sound of a rolling thunder. Again, I look up and there are no clouds, why did I heard the sound of lightning with the gust of wind? The same thing happened again when I was almost 15 feet on top of the mountain, it started to drizzle very lightly. Minutes later after a huge gust of wind came out of nowhere with the sound of a rolling thunder. At that point on I open myself up and had the feeling that something didn't want me on that mountain. As I was climbing down, something on the back of my mind was telling me that it was a Thunderbird.

Interesting to hear how native culture learned to respect and acknowledge thunder & lightning, while us "white ass" were thought to fear it !

Thunder. Thun. Thor... A god in Northman culture. Crack...a minor definition. To be crazy or insane. I've seen my relatives go crazy by them. Not pretty but a gift nonetheless. 🖤
just saying hello my friends. I have a thunderbird tattoo on my back. And yes I'm very spiritual. And I have been blessed by some chiefs. went through smudgings .
