Hey, thank you so much for the very nice compliments! To answer the questions about adding Floetrol or glaze(Modern Masters is my favorite so far). You can definitely slow down the dry time with additives. XIM makes a latex extender as well. I've been told that SoSlow is a good one too. I think those products can be really helpful. My preference is usually just to have a plan and do it quickly and just match the colors up when it's dry. I've messed up a million times. I just do it over again because it's dry in a few minutes.

Congratulations on your amazing talent Joe. I was ambitious enough to take on a beach mural in the master bath with the guidance of your videos. This is when I REALLY appreciated the unique talent that is yours alone. You make it look so easy! I made you repeat yourself so many times via video, it would have been devastating if you had to endure it on person.

I love your clear description of color theory. I muddle in my painting because I don't really know the smart ways to use the color blends, or greys. Do you know of a book or publication that might help me? You are so enthusiastic about your work, it's refreshing to watch you solve the challenges you find. Thank you.

you can spritz it with water so you can blend it, that is what I do with my Chroma Aterlier acrylics, they act like oils. you can spritz all acrylics with water to keep them wet enought to blend. check out the youtube video's if you are thinking about oils. these are new acrylics for the 21st century. you will be amazed at how they act like oils.

It helps so much to see how you blend the colors, Joe! Thank you for not editing out the "imperfections" and allowing us to see how you fix it when the paint dries too quickly. Pretty amazing to see how the red killed the green. Really got to wondering why the magenta has a longer open time--very interesting.

Have enjoyed your videos immensely = ) This looks like a huge, challenging, and fun project! I see the daylight and darkness in the window, so I know you're working on it long hours! The ceiling painting would kill me! You never showed the totally finished project! Bummer. I have never painted a full, floor to ceiling mural, but have done big stuff in big rooms, and am currently working on a 139 linear foot long, 4-5 foot high timeline.

It's the only thing I do not like about acrylic based paint at times, that being when having alot of blending to do, it's all the planning ahead that makes me feel impatient whilst blending as having to rush various stages against the drying times. It's for that reason mostly I tend to use them in glazes mixing only two colours or tones at any one time

hi Joe instead of blending wet on wet different colors have u ever try using dry brushing technique? i mean dry brushing layers of different colors. it works for me and its easier when using fast drying paints. i make sure i start with a medium value then i dry brush colors until i get to my highlights. i hope you understand what i mean.
