Just a little preview of things to come. Finally finished sculpting this guy.
Next up will be texturing in Substance Painter, then rigging.
Hit 120 million polygons in Blender. A new record!

    Is 120 million polygons for the main body, or is it 120 million for everything? The highest my PC let's me go for a single sculpt-object, was 52 million multires-head-sculpt. If I try to subdivide another time blender just crahses (admittedly subdiving another time would be 200 million and currently I only have 16GB of RAM, so yeah... ) Looking very nice btw☺️

    It's around 120 million just for the body. I'm actually not sure how much extra the teeth, claws and eyes add. It wouldn't be a lot, but if you zoom in on the teeth/claws you'd see they've been subtly sculpted too. Funny story - Eevee can't render it. It crashes every time. I had to lower my subdiv level by one to get it to render. I'm pretty sure once I turn it into a displacement map I'll be able to get through it, but currently I just can't.

    @@JamieDunbar Yeah rasterized renderengines like evee really struggle with high polycounts. Cycles probably wouldn't care that much, but it also just takes way longer. Hope we get some nice close-ups in the final video to show all that detail of

    @@d0ppelgaenger115 I haven't tried rendering with Cycles yet, but I'd assumed as such. I'll definitely put out some kind of in depth render to show off all those crunchy details. Heaven knows I spent enough time on them!

    Not yet. You'll see he has a bit of a burnt, charcoal texture on his tail in preparation for the fire simulation. But unfortunately I wasn't able to get that working in time for this turntable. It's coming though! I promise!
