Great vídeo! When you talked about the free video editors you could've mentioned that blender also has video editing, it's not half bad, and it's easy to learn if you're already a user, since it uses the same logic of shortcuts from modeling, animation, etc.

That is pretty neat. Hopefully I can remember this if I need a shattered title animation. Cool to see it done in another program and was thinking in my head how it could be done in blender too. I did an animation that had an old film feel (it's on my channel if interested, hope it's ok to self plug, if not I can delete this part. Also have two videos on my channel based of your tutorials as well). I found a tutorial somewhere about rendering film grain/dust/scratches, and rendered as transparent pngs. Now i can use it for future film feel videos if need be. Maybe I'll revisit the dust and make some swirling like this one, just in case. :)

For the black backdrop, would it not be easier (practically and computationally) to just have nothing at all going to the surface shader input, rather than trying to bend the principled shader to look as black as possible? Or does that not work properly in Eevee? (I can only really use Cycles, so I don't know; my machine is a Mac from 2011, so fat chance using anything that requires a GPU.)

Why not just render the frames out to PNGs and reverse their order in the VSE? Then "render" *that* to a video. That second render goes much faster than the first since you're just stitching frames together. Rendering to video is generally a bad idea, because you have to redo the whole thing if Blender crashes part way through the first, much longer, render (Murphy's Law, and all that).
