Yes I know bleach doesn’t lather I added shampoo so it would, to do a bleach bath. Yes I knew adding shampoo will dilute the bleach. Trust me I would never apply only bleach the way I did this video lol my hair would turn out patchy and ugly

Next time get your hair wet and then it will lather. That’s how I went blonde. I did a few bleach baths with 30 dev. And added just as much shampoo as dev. And soaked my hair in water and then lathered it real well and put a bag over for 20 minutes.

This is so chaotic but so am I so I like this

Girrrrlll... Always get a dye you like when trying to change colours! So if you muck up, you can also a nice colour on 😊

The jet black dye takes a lot longer to bleach. All I wanted was my natural dark brown hair back. So I just let it fade as oppose to bleaching it. LOL

Bleached my blue black hair it turned like really light orange in like 7-8 minutes maybe even less so def not long

I would have done a color stripper first like color oops.

I did, it just didn’t work that well

About 5-6 washes with clarifying shampoo building up to this would have helped a lot. I went from black back to blonde so I could go red in 24 hours with no damage thanks to bond sustainer.

I used a can of beets for toner once! 😂 I got a few compliments on the color too. You can also use grape Kool-aid in a pinch.

I really like your eyebrows lol I never get why people get so angry about others hair because we have ALL destroyed our hair bleaching it. lol I ruined my hair for 7 or 8 years and finally shaved it so I could start over and never touch my own hair again haha we all love and learn you’re beautiful 💜

Nope. I've never ruined my hair because I simply go to the salon. Life is simple, like that.

So much anxiety watching this....🥺 I’ve done hair for 32 years and would NEVER have attempted to lift black box dye off your hair... even professional stylists are very hesitant to touch it because our lighters can create a chemical reaction to the metallic salts in the box dye and literally smoke on the hair and burn it off!! Girl, go to a professional and leave your hair alone.

Also with bleach bathes that just going to lift maaayyybeee 2 levels of that. You were doomed to end up orange when you did that. I use bleach bathes to actually rough up my cuticle enough to maintain my custom maroon I do. But good luck with that.

You should never bleach black box dye without using a colour remover. And she should have put coconut oil in her hair the night before she did this so it wouldn't be as damaging to her hair. Omg

I did use a colour remover before, it just barely made a difference, and I had coconut oil in my ends. I’m still not sure if coconut oil even makes it better

I understand what you were trying to do. You were trying to bleach bath to make it less harmful. Tossed the color additive from the box. Why not go to Sally's and get the bleach and developer and have more control over the process? You never know what volume they use in the box stuff or band.

Your roots processed faster because your scalp gives off heat so maybe next time start from the ends to the scalp

Yeah, bleaching black hair that is actually not your hair color is hard to get out. Its hard to do in a salon. And when you make a bleach bath (shampoo+bleach) its not going to do a lot. Bleach it self is going to do less but its fun watching you still do it😂

GURL, when I saw you add the Herbal Essences shampoo I screamed. There is never I reason to add shampoo to bleach, it will do nothing more than weaken and dry your over processed hair. Yes it turned out awful we aren't shocked.

Lol people add shampoo to bleach ALL the time. It's literally one of 3 ingredients in a bleach bath which she clearly said she was doing

I had several layers of black permanent hair dye on my hair. I just wanted to get it to a brown. So I used bleach london total bleach. Then I put a medium gold & medium neutral brown permanent hair dye & mixed the together in a bowl. I applied it & left it on for 30 minutes. The result is so beautiful 😍 (you want to get enough bleach to where your hair is saturated) also depending on your hair, you might have to bleach it more than once. Check the integrity of your hair often. Then make you decision to bleach again. Also, I didn't cover my head with a plastic bag. & stay away from any draft.

why doesn´t people know about haircolor removal steps before they bleach their hair? xD god. you can avoid so much damage by knowing !

I’d suggest going to a salon if you have the money, because bleaching your hair is too much work to do yourself haha

This was very painful to watch I know probably for everyone but especially from a cosmetologist point of view😅
