I was thinking about this during my first listen! You love it initially - but then you fall in love with it more at the exact right time, or if you listen to it on repeat. Felt the same with Tiny Moves, Alma Mater - now im hopelessly in deep.

What a fantastic track. This doesn't hit like a hurricane, but more like a soft summer breeze that reminds you of the glory days of yesteryear. It curls your lips into a wry smile as you reflect on all those moments that have come to pass. It makes you nod and smile to the wistful, soft tones of a former life . The saxophone hugs you like a blanket of nostalgia, dreaming of what had been and how we stood on the shoulders of giants. This is a sunset of a song that brings out the best moments of ones heart. Who knows where we go from here, but we have lived a life and our best days are still ahead of us. Our dreams of summer still reflect on the waves as we realise we are still in spring and life is yet to catch up. Stay the wonder my friends, stay the wonder.

I have to say this. It is 1:30 am and I've never commented much on your channel before, but I feel compelled to do so. I have to say - this song is spectacular. The quality of your musical production is BEYOND anyone else's (Except T swift but you are the reason her music is so good let's be HONEST!) Everything you touch turns to GOLD Jack!!! Taylor swift is so lucky to have you as the magic behind her tracks !!! I'm so glad she's giving you all the recognition and inclusion you deserve at the grammy's and by her collaborating with you for a version of Anti Hero. Fun! was super lucky to have you as a band member too. I remember seeing you slaying guitar in Toronto at a FUN! concert on stage in the middle of a field. The whole crowd was LIT and swayed and was screaming ENCORE for more of you JACK! I fell in love with your music with FUN! back in 2011 or 2012 and been in love ever since. Later, during my first year at university my friend (who is also coincidentally named Jack) told me that this band I'd never heard of called Bleachers was the BEST album and I had to listen -- so I went to HMV and bought Strange Desire and let me tell you, other Jack was RIGHT! It was SOOOOOOOO good. It became my go-to fav album for long car rides. Years later I was still blasting it in my car CD player on my way to teachers college, or home to see family. A few years later I was going through a pretty bad depression+anxiety time in my life (now I am medicated - I have GAD) and FOLKLORE was the album that I listened to while processing my grief and sadness, but it also lifted me UP. Evermore brought me even more bliss. THEN... midnights! Lavender haze, maroon, antihero, snow on the beach, midnight rain, labrynth --- all soooo good. Lover too. Then when MODERN GIRL came out it was a work morning. I woke up and listenened and started dancing in my bed before work it was so good -- like COME ON. It was stuck in my head ALL DAY. That saxophone intro had me from the jump. And your Jimmy Kimmel performance was soooo good! You are PURE MAGIC JACK. I love you. Thank you for everything !!!! Like a River Runs will always be my favourite song to listen to while embarking on any driving adventure (the drum beat hook at the start is sublime). I'll be listening to your work for the rest of my life!!
