It's time to archive the very first Bleach game on the channel and we begin with Bleach Soul Resurreccion for the PlayStation 3. This game plays like a hack and slash adventure where you get to play as many different characters as you mow your way through hundreds of enemies. At some points it reminded me of the Musou games like Dynasty Warriors, but it has a bit more nuance than that.
Each level works the same in that you follow a linear path and then have seperate sections where you have to defeat all enemies or take out certain types of mini bosses. Then each level ends with a one on one boss fight. The action itself is very visceral and fast paced and the controls feel great. It does sometimes lag a bit with all the action that is happening on screen, but it was always fun to try out new characters and see what kind of move lists they had.
The game itself is a bit simple and fairly short, but there are plenty of side missions to complete to build up your characters further. It might not be the definitive Bleach experience, but the graphics still hold up and the action is cool, so its a nice snack for any Bleach fan out there.
