It’s sad that after Blaxx death, there are so many ppl discovering more of his great hits… this man was immaculate with his music and wish more ppl would’ve known his music while he was here in flesh, caz many of his hits are inspiring and uplifting.. another of my fav… but man it’s deep hearing him “life is the greatest” and he is no longer here to enjoy life here with us but hoping he is in a better place to enjoy a better life, where there’s no more sickness… Soca in peace Legend.. we will continue to love u in spirit 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Bro DJ JEL, I'm a U.S. trained guy with Caribbean roots. [I have a university minor in music. AND have done P/T work for many years in music performance, production, & radio broadcasting]. I think many people UNDER-appreciate that our soca music is currently in a "good space." A lot of our eastern Caribbean artistes have been doing some NICE work over the past several years. I don't know if the soca will ever become "mainstream" because the listening audience needs to have a certain amount of "riddim" to really "get" the music. But soca & calypso have already been influencing mainstream R&B and rap music for years. This Blaxx chune is VERY NICE. I would do a couple things with the arrangement to sprinkle some "fairy dust" on it; but it's ALREADY a very melodic chune with a nice vibes (so it's going een my regular soca rotation straight away).

Who else here after the funeral of the legend Blaxx your legacy will live on
