I watched this review and was going to buy this amp on the marketplace..come to find out it was steromojo that I was buying it from..but this amp for the price is amazing..I have it hookup up to 2 deaf bonce machetes 2400 watts each wire done to 1 ohm and it is amazing...I don't really see myself needing anything more powerful

I have the $49.99 4K version on an American Bass XFL 15 probably giving it about 700 watts. It’s awesome honestly

Im glad you did this test . Ib been into car audio for 30yrs back in 1994 i hooked up 2 rockford fosgate 18" single voice coil 4 ohms .in a 10cubes box sealed on a kenwood 1021 kdc amp in bridged was 1000watts i wired the subs in parallel. An this amp puts out the same power @ 2 ohms . Funny today i could use this amp on my 15" crossfire c-7 v-3 1600 rms sub an it would do just fine in a 4 cubes box ported an tuned to 32hz . Thank for posting. Id just put my jp minni. On my mids.

Lol, any idea what amp that was?

My wild guess on how they rate their rating is by doing math on the capacitor, resistor Ect Ect. By the looks they absolutely don’t dyno run the amps. Moreover nice job on the videos especially on this cheap strong amp. Is there a way I can strap or linked up 2 of this? Or how to hook up 2 of these one for each sub.

You blew it lol i got the andeman 4 channel Friday and it good, not sure what power it puts out yet, waiting on your review, but its good for what am doing. I have a problem though, the power supply 😑

@StereoMoJo- I go by the 10 watts per dollar ratio, to determine if the amp is a budget banger. This amp costing around $125 x 10 watts, so i was hoping it would do 1,250 watts R.M.S. So to see 1,600 R.M.S., and 1,800 burst, is really good for the $= this is a budget banger IMO! Plus anyone buying this amp should never wire below 1ohm, and so when playing music= with impedance rise, this amp will probably never go over 150 Amps of current draw!?

Does that thing have a Hall effect current sensor over that wire going across the board. If so that would be the first time I’ve ever seen that. Maybe for the protection circuit?

Omg they still make car audio? Last time I bought anything from Blaupunkt was a 12” sub from Caldor in 1996

Stable @ 2 ohms probaly means its best to run at 2 ohms perhaps...the Recoil RED1200-1 2500 amp says stable down to 1ohm....

I think there should be a Blaupunkt Theorem. where Amp manufactures unnecessarily over inflate their amp rating when if they would just have given it its true rating or even under rated it, they would have not only sold more but would have gained a good reputation in the process, so it's regulated to Chinese junk even though price per watt and overall build quality it actually might be one of the best.

looks like the planet audio 5,000 and that put out 1,500 as well

I'm wondering what the black ring is on the red output wire. I've never seen that before. Maybe an inductive clamp to measure output amperage? Maybe just a ferrite ring to reduce output noise? Anyone know?

I was wondering the same thing. Maybe why it went into protect so quick at .8 ohm. If that’s an inductive current probe then I’d be interested to see exactly how they’re using it.

Pretty decent amp for the money. Really good protection circuit. The only thing I would have liked to see is some silicone on the chokes for vibration protection and rated as 1.5k amp.

That was actually a different amp. The Blaupunkt is still alive and well.

The bass knob has nothing to do with power output.

Nothing below 1 ohm ive seen the amp videos on the dyno of this amp they should call it a 1500.1 d and they would sell alot more .

im a little confused if you drew 216amps through 160amp worth of fuses why didnt they blow?

They can handle a bit more power for a short period of time.

#blauPUNKD is what it should be called nowadays 😆 I rmbr in the mid 90s they were real popular and I felt like they were looked at how Focal is looked it today

I paid $599 for a PPI PC275. Rated at 300w rms at 4ohms. This 5000d is much more powerful and for the money it is a steal. Doubt it has the quality of the ppi though.

It’s got to just be a lie. It won’t do it dynamically or go below 1 ohm, so the 5k doesn’t make any sense at all.

@@stereomojo yeah I heard it’s mostly a lie or they do some crazy stuff to it during testing that nights show that power for a short period. Overall looking at the size of some of these amps it would seem like it has a bunch of stuff in there that would actually allow it . I mean I know little of nothing what I’m looking at in side of a amp thigh either 😂.still makes me wonder if it can be modded or something just to mess around with it and see if it gets more power

Sometimes, you can tell by the price if it's true wattage and some amps are over-priced, and you're just paying for a brand. These amps are trash. Looks can be deceiving, especially on this amp.
