The Royal Navy was defeated multiple times by the Spanish Navy, but History omits it. Francis Drake, was defeated in Veracruz in the battle of San Juan de Ulua in 1568. The Invincible English, invasion fleet sent by Elizabeth I to defeat to the Spanish navy, was defeated by Spain and its navy in 1589. Edward Vernon was defeated in Cartagenas De Indias by Blas de Lezo in 1741. Horacio Nelson, the great victor of Trafalgar, was defeated in Tenerife, Spain, 25 of July of 1797. Before the Royal Navy was the owner of the seas, its predecessor was the Spanish Navy, who dominated the seas and made Spain the first global empire in world history, and also has the merit of discovering the American continent. By the way, there is another spanish heroe that always defeated the english. During the USA independence, spanish general Bernardo de Galvez (Spain sent 12.000 soldiers) defeated the english in all battles, Mobile, Charlotte, Pendacola.....and took all english forts in Florida and Luisiana (in that time Luisiana reached the border with Canada), even took Saint Joseph fort in Michigan, and spanish also defeated an english-sioux army in San Luis (Misuri), it wasn't France the one that helped USA the most, it was Spain by far, ships, soldiers, money, canions, blankets, food, medicines.....etc etc etv, even Washington spies networks were spanish, and the decision and design of USA independence was made by the spanish Minister of Indies, Jose de Galvez, that was very annoyed because of the english aleays trying to attack spanish territories in the American Continent, Jose de Galvez and many important spanish families from Cuba were very close friends of Washington and some other important american rebels, and the decision was taken, USA woulg get the independence and the spanish would damage the english very seriously because its continuos harassment against Spain. Spain had the biggest Empire overseas and the english were starting to have their own and finally english Empire emerged when the spanish one finished around 1820, but they couldn't defeat Spain in battlefield, Spain was completely exhausted after 300 years of continuos wars worlwide against all major powers, Spanish Empire finished with internal.fights promoted by the eternal enemy of Spain, the masonry.

The mayor english navy defeats in history have been always against Spain, La Rochelle 1372, English Armada 1589, Cartagena de Indias 1741 and Action of 9 August 1780, by the way in Trafalgar the real truth is starting to be uncovered, even british historians like David Chandler or Duncan Anderson from Sandhurst Military Academy admitt they didn't win in Trafalgar, the ships of line lost by the spanish-french were the same.number as the english but the english suffered 9.000 deaths, the french 3.500 and the spanish 1.500, and also a lot of english that survived fron sunk ships and managed to sirvive and reach the spanish coasts. I am jus, talking about these 5 navy battles, but the english suffered many other more important navy defeats fighting against Spain, and by land a huge number of defeats.

5:11 "Dysentery became rife and the British were forced to retreat" - Are you suggesting that the main reason why British troops withdrew from Cartagena de Indias was because of dysentery??? Admiral Vernon tried everything to take over Cartagena despite of its troops uncontrollable diarrhea, as he anticipated a full British Victory over the outnumbered Spanish defenders. In fact, he sent notice to King George II prior to the final outcome of the battle, assuring his triumph. Dysentery was nothing but the last straw to the major defeat of the invading troops by the Spanish Army led by the Great Don Blas de Lezo. Truth is that Don Blas de Lezo outmaneuvered Vernon in a series of strategic military actions. Admiral Vernon's epitaph reads: "He subdued Chagres, and in Cartagena conquered as far as the naval force could take the victory" LOL After humiliating the Royal Navy, Lezo wrote to Vernon: "To come to Cartagena is necessary that the King of England builds a larger naval fleet, as this one has ended up only good enough to ship coal from London to Ireland, which would have been better than undertaking a conquest that cannot get". PLUS VLTRA!

Let’s take your incorrect numbers and pretend they’re right... 1) the average of 80%-90%=85% 2) 15% of a 30,000 men army = 4,500 3) Spanish army in Cartagena = 3000 men; Therefore, a larger English army (with or without diseases) lost to the outnumbered Spanish led by Blas de Lezo in Cartagena. No excuse - with or without diarrhea, the result was shitty for the English.

I was willing to ignore the many errors in your diction and the lackluster historical accuracy of your story until you called Admiral Edward Vernon a general. I was unable to continue watching this document from then onwards, for obvious reasons. Shame on you for claiming history has anything to do with your channel, very very poor standards I see.
