It's more or less the interpretation that seems to be most possibly accurate to me. Mainly due to the chorus's lyrics and the whole "tomorrow may not come".

It's funny, some people have made the same claims about AFI in general--that they should stick to doing "what they know how to do" and not explore different sounds because they'd screw it up. I *wish* more bands would actually do what they want to do and not give so much of a crap about what people thought--we'd probably have a lot more excellent music. Moreover, it's not like there weren't "darkwave" elements to AFI's work--this sound has been there, in different capacities, since Black Sails.

Oh my God. At first I thought it was just an act. I'm pretty sure now Davey loves the screaming girls and bras being thrown at him. We can only hope that this is just a phase but I doubt it. Don't get me wrong... all of AFI's and Davey's shit is catchy as fuck.
