things after reading the book to make everything clear: 1- they are 18 and 34, she is not a minor. She is close to graduate high school and enter college 2- Nothing happens between them until she is in college, there will be a time jump to get her so be more adult and mature 3- they are explaining the background before the romance. Apart from being in love, nueng is always protective of A-Nueng bc she knows what shes gone though. Her parents abandoned her, her grandma is abusive and Nueng is the first person to ever being nice and care about her ❤

So the age gap is 16 years in the book thay are 18 and 34 then comes the time jump so 20 and 36 , not sure why they decided to do an age up the story makes moor sence without it❤😂
