One good thing that I do like about such watches is that they take business and interest away from second hand watch dealers... For example second hand watch dealers that charge exorbitant prices for second hand Rolex watches...

Yeah, kills me to see it that way but that's how I feel at this time. Perhaps at a deep discount, but even then, I'd maybe enjoy it for a while and then sell it to the next enthusiast.

I like the Artic and Antarctic colors.

It is a collectable! Not a beater! Wear it couple times a year. The colors of the Case,Bezels are pleasant enough. The back of the Sistem51 movement is fun to look at. The NATO strap is much better than the velco strap of the MoonSwatch. Is it a Marketing Stunt Yes, so either get one or "Collect Them All!!

I definitely get that regarding the collectibility of them, and I don’t necessarily hate all the colors, I just wish they had made one in neutral tones like they did with the moonswatch. I may cave and get one eventually but only if I can get it deeply discounted 😅

I would pick it up for $250 not a penny more. What I do know is that this will make Swatch a lot of $! My favorite is the white/no date one. I hope to own the real deal one day, love the bezel of the FF. BTW #tudorbros

Lol, after I get mine on Saturday I'm gonna put it on ebay for $250.01! 😂. Yeah man, its definitely gonna bring in a lot of traffic and cash to their stores, which I believe they are needing badly, so I'm happy for everyone that wants to pick one up, its just not for me. That white one is clean looking and the blue one looks good too, just not my style. #tudorbros 😎👍🍻

Great points Dave about the extra designs they could have made. I didn’t think about it initially, but I actually love the colours. Not all are perfect. The mustard could have had a bit of blue elements thrown in. The green case looks a bit tacky in that shade. Other than that, they are exciting colours IMO. Btw, how much is that movement to replace do you think?

Thanks James, yeah I kept going back and forth all day yesterday about loving it, not loving it, would I wear it, when/where would I wear it, etc. and that's how I felt this morning, its just not for me. I think my expectations were too high so I can only hope for a special release in black or gray and try to pick one up at that point. As far as the movement goes, my understanding is that these are all completely robot constructed, being hermetically sealed which means they cannot be repaired, regulated, or replaced. They would simply replace the whole watch, and that is a big issue a lot of people have with the sistem51 movement, not just on this piece but in general.

Yeah, I figured since they did it with the omega I was expecting it on this one. The blue and white are the ones I’d definitely consider if I were going to snag one or two. 😎👍

G'evening David 🤠 . I've been in this hobby for about 4 years now and I love the 50 fathoms and understand its horological significance, however just like the Omega Swatch collaboration I just can't bring myself to jump on another plastic Happy Meal watch $$ grab bandwagon. With that being said and even though I've never owned owned one. I can't believe these words are about to leave my mouth but if I decide I want one of these collaborations or one of the Omega Swatch collaborations I'll wait and see what Pagani designs comes up with. Their version of the Moon Swatch looked pretty nice and at least you're getting a 316l stainless case, sapphire glass & an automatic Seiko movement in the ballpark of $120 instead of being disappointed by an overhyped $400 Happy Meal toy 😇 ..

Trust me I know exactly what you mean, it was hard for me to even admit the same, and as much as I would want to get one of these, I have a feeling the homages (if they get made) will be spec’d out the way this release should have been. We know Swatch can make a stainless steel sistem51, they chose to go plastic 😩

He let me get a look at his Pagani moon swatch & I told him for the $ he got a much nicer & better deal than anyone who bought a swatch did. I grew up in a house full of porcelain dolls & I know more about porcelain dolls & ceramic's than I care to admit 😋 . Imo when you add plastic to ceramic you basically created an accelerated version of biodegradable plastic that will only last for a couple of years before it starts to lose its molecular cohesion. It'll basically do the same thing a block of cheese will if you freeze it and then thaw it out. It'll start to degrade into little bits and pieces until there's nothing left. As far as the system 51 movement goes I don't think it's much better than the early Timex or Rondamatic's as far as quality goes. I'll wait and see what Pagani comes up with because it might be the 1st homage I buy 🤣 ..

The point of a SWATCH is the color. To have fun with it and dont take it to serious. I have the moonswatch and I like it and you can piss off other 10K Omega owner😅😅🤣

Lol them omega owners were definitely upset (not all, but a lot of them!) with the moonswatch haha. I get that about the fun and funky colors of swatch, but we know they could do a neutral as we saw with the omega collab so I was kinda expecting that on this release. Got my fingers crossed for a special edition in black, gray, or silver! 😅🤞

I think they’ll wait 6 months or a year before they release the ‘good’ colours like black and grey etc. It’s all marketing and $$

Whaddup Trip! About to reply to your email that I just read bro! Yes, I think the next up in line is actually Breguet, lol. I think the moonswatch had me really expecting some silver/black toned case colors. Maybe these will grow on me, but I'll only pick one up second hand at a deep discount.

I just ordered an Omega Swatch homage smartwatch from Ali Express. I ordered the green Earth variation. It's supposed to be a fully functional smartwatch. We''ll see. It was only $19. "OMG smartwatch" It is unbranded. As much as I love the BL-FF. I really have no interest in this watch. I did find a Jupiter Swatch at retail. It was anticlimactic. For a hundred, it would be a pretty cool novelty. At almost $300, it's a plastic rip-off.

Yeah, what you said about picking up the moonswatch is something similar I've heard from others...anti-climatic, perhaps the hype wears off and so I could see that being the same with these. From what I've seen outside of swatch stores around the world, so far there is not nearly as much traffic like we saw with the omega fiasco.

Gradient dial I like but as with the Omega 😢 toy watch 🤷 that's it and that's all unfortunately 😤
