Blair Upper Cervical chiropractic Saved my Life

Many people suffer from concussions each year due to sports injuries and other trauma. Many of them suffer for years afterwards with headaches, brain fog, depression, anxiety, vertigo, insomnia, and dizziness. Most are told that it is due to post-concussion syndrome. While head injuries can cause brain trauma, we have found that many people who suffer with post concussion syndrome are in reality living with an Upper Cervical misalignment.

Im an RN in Tx. My son fell at age 4. Tore c1c2 ligaments and cracked c2. Wore a c collar for 3 weeks. He worsened every year just as he started school. He had nausea, chest pain, headaches, balance and coordination issues, vision problems, stomach pain. Ringing ears, leg weakness, pain allover, speech trouble, cognitive problems. We went to Childrens Dallas, Cooks ft worth, medical city dallas, texas childrens houston, we tried PT OT vestibular therapy, misdiagnosed with adhd and autism we tried adhd drugs. My son wanted to die until age 7 when we got his c1 put back in place. Instantly he was fine. School psychologist said no sign of adhd or autism. He tied his shoes for the 1 st time on his own. He did math word problems that he could not do b4. This was a miracle. He was speaking clearly and no more clumsy falls. No more mood swings. Please consider this first b4 MDs and lots of time wasted. Took me 3.5 yrs to find it. From Kindegarten thru 3rd grade. So much lost in those years. Thank God for the miracle.

Hello Dr. Pecca. I also suffered from anxiety and depression, and while I was able to get through them without medication, a severe brain fog remained haunting me for years. I randomly saw one of your videos recently, and it dawned on me that the severe chronic tension around my neck and head could be the culprit, and it was-- just working on my posture and doing stretches, massages I already feel better than I've ever been the past four years. I made an appointment to an upper cervical chiropractic office next week, and I am really looking forward to it. Thank you so much for sharing what you've been through and footages of you working with your patients.

Dr. Pecca, my 20 year old son never had any head injury or trauma , but suffers from all the symptoms you have described. I have taken him to several specialist, multiple test including extensive blood test to rule out all and every autoimmune disease and everything comes back normal. I have seen him in the state of mind as you explained where he feels there is no HOPE. We live in Jersey quite close to your practice, and when I called to make an appointment, I was disappointed that you are not participating with our insurance. It's sad and unfortunate that d you being one of the only Blair docs in the area and are not taking insurances feels like my son's chances of every feeling better are hopeless again. I would have thought you being so passionate about this and wanted to help others, you would be participating with more plans to give back. Paying out of pocket will be hard because as you have described, it's long term treatment . Wish you could look into participating more with health plans as an in network doctor.

@@drkevinpecca Brilliant video, thank you for posting this up ❤🙏 I'm so happy for you and your positive results and I'm so happy that I came across this. I've had the same symptoms as you - for 5 years & I've also seen SO many people. It was actually a clairvoyant in the end (I've seen her a few times over the years for other things) that said to me: "you're tired" (I'd been diagnosed with chronic fatigue, so she was correct right off the bat). Then she said: "something is pressing on your nerves". I had CT scans done but the neurosurgeon I just saw just dismissed the findings & said "some things you just have to live with". I used to be very active and I used to exercise every single day...not anymore 😞 Now I can barely walk or drive because I have mal de debarquement syndrome vertigo as well. I also have a whole body buzzing sensation, hand tremors & a 'bobble-head' type tremor. It is so horrible. My best friend/housemate of 11 years just passed away suddenly on my bed too, and I am so distraught & extra depressed because of that. I feel like I want to join him. I am so lost & so broken up right now :( I need help. Can I please ask you: did you have myoclonus & nystagmus too? Have the tremors in your hands gone? Do you still have to have treatment? The only BLAIR chiro here is very far from me (I'm in Perth, Western Australia), but, I found a chiro that does Nuccal & he specialises in the cervical spine. Will that get me the same results? I've seen him only once (that was yesterday = 10th Feb 2022) and what he did was this really full-on massaging of, and stretching of my neck. It really hurt but it also felt really bloody good. I could have that kind of massage done all day every day! 💜 Then he looked at how I stood = my neck/spine alignment & my hips and he took some X-rays. That was it. What do you think? Cheers, Louise.

Your story gives me so much hope. I actually One was perfectly healthy and five years ago I received my very first chiropractic adjustment while accompanying my mom to her chiro. He took no x-rays and just blindly cracked me from neck down and I woke up the next day as if I had been drugged and brain-damaged. I slowly got better but never 100 and struggle with brain fog, disorientation, and fatigue ever since. I had a brain mri back then which was clear. Fast forward to today and now my brain shows lesions and I have been diagnosed with MS. I started on wahls diet which greatly gave me improvement due to the removal of inflammation. I did my research and found out about upper cervical treatment and I felt so comfortable bc there’s no cracking involved. However, after my third visit I’m experiencing a relapse in those symptoms and had to actually take two days off of work and all my body wanted to do was sleep. I’m still feeling disoriented now.. my question to you is: is this normal to relapse and get worse before u def better? I want to trust the process and see it through but I don’t want to do any more damage. Please give me your advice 🙏

Montclair NJ! I grew up in Paterson. Need I say more? Took refuge in Vermont. It’s beautiful but not very progressive. Unless you think big pharma and big medicine are progressive. Being a rural state with a small population doesn’t help. I am having a lot of trouble with my C1 it’s twisted and tilted. The C2 is counter twisted and tilted. I’m trying to create a life worth living. Yes and it’s hard to nearly impossible being fettered to ssdi and public housing. Yet, I’m not able to do much while I’m in this condition. It’s a catch 22 I can’t seem to break out of Locally I can get an orthogonal adjustment, but it’s expensive and mayn’t hold. With no savings and no credit it’s hard to embark upon that route. I’m sold on the Blair technique, but can’t easily travel over 200 miles. Would prolotherapy injections following the adjustment help the ligaments heal and support the vertebrae’s proper position? What about PEMF treatment at the base of the skull following the atlas adjustment? Effects of pulsing electromagnetic fields on the ligament healing in rabbits. Lin Y, et al. J Vet Med Sci. 1992. www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/1420550/ I don’t think the researchers mentioned what wave form of was used, but it still has merit. Like I said I’m trying to build a life worth living. Sadly I have to jerry-rig it and nickel and dime it. I’m praying that I can get a lucky break to help me. I have a claim with the states victms compensation fund, but it’s harder to use than I thought.

I took supplements before I found upper cervical care but none seemed to work for me. I cleaned up my diet a lot and stopped eating processed foods and stuck to organic grass fed meats and vegetables and that took a lot of inflammation away, upper cervical care took care of the rest! My healing from when I started U.C care took about 8 months for me to feel completely like my old self again, and I did some good healing for a year and a half. The first 3-4 months was a roller coaster ride of ups and downs but i started to stabalize around the 4 month mark.

How many UC adjustments are really needed for something like menieres? My girlfriend has that, and I wanted to take her to an A O chiropractor, but I hear different reports, some say only a few adjustments are needed, others are in for more than twelve, etc. Once the atlas is realigned, why would many adjustments be needed? Are some chiropractors just trying to pad the pocket?

birage the goal of Upper Cervical care is to give you one Atlas correction and have that correction hold from weeks, to months, to years (which can happen). Sometimes it takes several adjustments for the ligaments and muscles around the joints to become strong and hold the adjustment. Holding is where the healing takes place. Other forms of chiropractic do not take holding into account and want to adjust your neck every time you come into the office. True upper Cervical Chiropractic is all about holding the adjustment for as long as possible to give your body the best chance to heal and let the central nervous system stay clear which is when true healing takes place.

M M Yes this is completely normal! The healing process goes up and down and retracing cycles can be very intense at times, however the longer you hold your adjustment, those retracing cycles will become less intense over time...the first three months I was under upper cervical care I felt my body healing itself and felt pretty awful at times, but around the four month mark my body made a huge turn around and the symptoms dissipated. I'm glad your body is healing itself and if you have any other questions feel free to email me at kevinpecca@gmail.com Cheers, Kevin

Dr. Kevin Pecca , Dr. Would retracing symptoms include brain/ head symptoms from previous head injuries. I am in a similar situation in a dark place and am questioning if I can continue like this. I have bad brain function, brain feels numb/ exhausted/ sedated and very painful, brain fog , depression, affected vision, etc. I’ve had 3 bad car accidents last one in 3/17 didn’t get treated had some concussions symptoms went away. Then June of this year start using a BIPAP machine then all of a sudden had extreme dizziness and headaches. Started Quantum Biofeedback September . Last week of September barely bumped my head in shower edge of tile window then 3 days later has regular adjustment with my regular chiropractor. My life has been a living nightmare since. Just started seeing a TBM chiropractor 7 weeks ago and she thinks symptoms due to previous accidents and Quantum. The Doctor said she can help me but that it’s going to be a process and most of her concussion protocols are electrical which due to Quantum are a no go. have to struggle from the moment I wake up to make it through the day. It’s depressing and very painful to live like this. My sister recommended I look into Nucca . I’ve had people pray for me and I have been crying out to God then came across your video tonight. I apologize for the long story 😢

Dean Walcott Dean Walcott Hi Karen, I am actually the closest Blair doctor to you. There is no one in NY state that practices Blair. I have many patients that come down from Long Island. My office is located about 12miles north west of NYC. In my opinion Blair is the most comprehensive Upper Cervical technique because we look at the entire neck from C1 down to C7 while some other Upper Cervical techniques only look at C1. That being said I am a huge fan of every Upper Cervical technique but I do have patients that have tried Nucca and AO and they say Blair works the best for them. If you would like to schedule a visit we would love to have you at our office. Maria at the front desk can give you any additional information you need! 973-744-3456

there is no need to adjust inferior to c1, as it's alignment restores full innervation to all, above and below, including the neurogenically imbalanced muscles responsible for all inferior misalignments/fixations. btw, migraines and depression and usually from endocrine related effects of nerve interference to the adrenals and thyroid respectively. the atlas correction will resolve innervation problems to these as well.

@@alexandrap.961 Thanks for the reply. Do you think the main contributing factor was the loss of curve in your neck? That's the only thing 'concrete' found from the x-rays for me. All the MRI's, blood work, ENT tests came back normal for me. Chiro is the only one that told me I have a straight neck. I DO notice relief when I'm on the Cervipedic M2 (which is just a less aggressive version of the Denneroll. I've been told restoring the curve takes a LONG time (months). I told my Blair doc I needed something more aggressive because I'm sick of being miserable so hes fitting me for a Denneroll. Hoping that, upping to 2 times a week and stretches for neck/shoulder pain will get me there sooner than later. Blah
