Wesley Snipes is a Black Belt in Shotokan Karate.. Taekwondo and Karate do share a number of similarities in terms of kicking technique. But he’s definitely demonstrating his Shotokan in the movie with the added choreographed martial arts and wrestling etc

The best hands down. Blade: Trinity tried to repeat 2, but Blade: Trinity just didn’t have it despite the fact that Whistler’s daughter was a hunter herself. I hope Wesley Snipes is in the new film with Mahershala Ali. He could play Whistler or his dad.

I gotta say this fight scene holds up and is better than most current fight scenes in the action genre. The combination of Guillermo's understanding of good filmmaking and showing more wides and follow shots as opposed to close up shaky cams, with Snipes obviously doing a lot of the stunts, it makes this scene feel fluid and good.

Batou3 I think even if they wanted to do one, he acts so crazy now (and he apparently acted insane and dangerous during most of Blade-3's production) that no studio wants to invest a ton of money in a movie that he would be the major star in over fears that they might shoot half a movie and then he bolts or refuses to continue or something.

This fight scene is why I love watching Blade do what he does. He has such a versatile fighting style. We really need an Arkham themed Blade video game for the modern age with a multitude of supernatural themed foes for him to throw down against. It'd honestly work with the right story behind it.

Blade finishing off that last minion with a standing vertical suplex...that was great. =)

Damn I remember watching these over and over. One of the most legitimate action scenes ever. That suplex though!

These days, it's hard to remember that Wesley Snipes is actually a legitimate martial artists. Also Kudos to Reinhardt for going for the stab, instead of some overly exaggerated swing, like most bad guys do.

All of the armed guards and soldiers backing Reinhardt up against Blade in the ending battle were all human and Damaskinos's familiars that composed Damaskinos's armed security forces, soldiers and guards that served as Damaskinos's henchmen in the hopes to be bitten and turned into vampires someday. Or Daywalker vampires far more powerful, stronger and invincible to all weaknesses of the Vampire race if Damaskinos had succeeded in the plot to harvest Blade's blood as the missing key to creating the perfect breed of Daywalker vampires as the Reaper experiment failed to do starting with Damaskinos's cloning of his own son, Nomak, who served as patient zero for the Reaper virus that genetically mutated and deformed Nomak into an undead super vampire monster. Reinhardt was involved in the Reaper experiment alongside Damaskinos and Damaskinos's henchmen and familiars including Scud the traitor and undercover spy formerly aligned with Blade, and Damaskinos's lawyer, chief familiar, and right hand man Karel Kounen. Reinhardt was allowed to be involved in the Reaper experiment on Nomak by Damaskinos as the secondary leader of the Bloodpack team, second in command and co-leader under Nyssa as Damaskinos's daughter, as well as being Damaskinos's henchman and personal guard outside of the group. Plus Damaskinos knew Nyssa, his own daughter, would never be willing to participate in the Reaper experiment on her own estranged blood brother, Nomak, nor deceive, use and mislead her own team of vampire warriors and assassins and soldiers on a suicide mission as live bait and sacrificial lambs to her heartless, cold blooded, self serving, power hungry father and would've turned against Damaskinos as Nyssa rightfully does at the end of the movie. Reinhardt was just a vampire footsoldier and mercenary killer that followed orders without question and wanted to become a far more powerful, stronger and unstoppable breed of vampire himself if Damaskinos succeeded in creating the perfect breed of Daywalker vampires using Blade's blood and DNA. Which the Reaper experiment failed to do with Jared Nomak, Damaskinos's own son he cloned like the cloned Reaper embryos Damaskinos revealed in his lair that Whistler shot up in the end. Reinhardt tried to kill Blade or get Blade killed repeatedly in the mission to hunt down the Reapers against Damaskinos's orders to bring Blade back alive out of his passionate hatred of Blade and to even the score with Blade for embarrassing Reinhardt repeatedly and outsmarting his payback attempts and insubordination actions to Blade's temporary asserted leadership and command after folding Reinhardt up first to establish dominance and leadership position.

Blade is captured, his blood is drained, weakened but saved by his partner. In order to regain his strength, he has to drink blood which boosts him like a power star and helps him beating scores of henchmen - who accidently all left their ranged weapons at home - under an adrenaline-pumping music. Yes, I was talking about the first movie.

Nah, Jared Nomak is/was the FINAL BOSS of Blade 2. Reinhardt was just an easy warm up for the real challenge against Blade. 😂 Reinhardt, as well as the other vampire elite soldiers and assassins in the Bloodpack such as Chupa, who was the best friend of Priest, the first victim to die against the Reapers and least formidable in hand to hand combat in the vampire nightclub and later Chupa became or was already the closest friend and comrade to Reinhardt that shared their mutual intense, defiant hatred of Blade/the Daywalker and more so despised Whistler the most, LightHammer, etc were skilled, formidable fighters individually against average vampires or any inferior humans, but easily outmatched against Blade one on one or together as a team against one vs the Daywalker. Except Snowman, who I believe would've evenly matched Blade in swordsmanship to a draw. Reinhardt just couldn't take a hint. Blade easily folded Reinhardt in front of his own team in the beginning in one on one close combat, outsmarted Reinhardt and Chupa inside the House of Pain vampire nightclub already having his laser sighting of Blade's gun on Reinhardt when Reinhardt aimed his weapon at Blade from across the room alongside Chupa, and also survived the Reaper attack in the sewers under the city of Prague and Reinhardt tried to get Blade killed deliberately neglecting to tell Blade the bomb lever was stuck on the UV grenades in the bomb pack. Taunting Blade last minute via radio mic. Reinhardt just couldn't hold his L.

Oh for sure, it'd be entertaining to see. I'm just not sure how he would do it. None of his usual tactics would work. His sword probably wouldn't even cut them (they're virtually indestructible). It never comes up in the films, but in the books it's actually mentioned that they're bulletproof if I remember correctly. They're much too fast and strong for him to fight hand to hand, and hitting one would be like punching a statue anyway. They're ridiculously overpowered; the franchise calls them vampires, but really they're closer to gods. So to be effective, Blade would require a major upgrade, either to his baseline powers or to his weapons. Or both. Otherwise, he would die immediately. The Twilight vampires could (literally) rip him apart.

I still believe Blade spends a whole day shopping for sunglasses. peace

Goyer actually could've done an alright job if he stuck with his original idea I think. _An early idea by David S. Goyer for the film was to be set many years after the events of Blade II (2002), where vampires finally had achieved world domination and enslaved all humans, with Blade being the last hope for humanity. Blade's slower aging could be explained by his vampire blood. The storyline was deemed too dark and was later dropped._ Would've been a very competent finale to the trilogy. Just another reason why Goyer is a fuckup. "Too dark?" This is *Blade!* He is not a comedy character that needs unfitting one liners and barely serious villains to turn a profit. The fact that the first two films were darker, with elements of how humanity will do easily betray it own and how vampires treat them as only food was amazing. Goyer needed to keep his hands off this character.

I think the studio execs, not Goyer, deemed the original storyline too dark. They also had the terrible idea to force those lame Nightstalkers into the film to start a new franchise. This backfired horribly. Considering how terrible Trinity turned out, I can't help but wonder if Goyer had been too distracted working on the Batman Begins script.

The first two Blade movies were really good. The third needed some work on the story plot lines to say the least.

Imagine if Blade made it into the MCU. The battle would be over before the Avengers could make it to the battlefield.

Almighty Doge Yeah, and Snipes says that he wants to play Blade again, although he did say he wanted to do a Blade 4, but 1 Marvel owns Blade now, not New Line so to fit it in the MCU it'd be a reboot and 2, Marvel doesn't like going over PG-13 for their movies or on TV, so if they did Blade it'd be a Netflix series and I don't know if that's something Snipes would do, then again he was meant to be in the Blade TV series and was willing to.

Daniel vega Yeah, I think they should do Punisher first and then do Blade, they could do it in Phases like the movies, Phase 1 is Daredevil, Aka Jessica Jones, Daredevil Season 2, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Defenders, then Phase 2 is Season 2s (and a season 3 for daredevil) for the previous shows and then they add Punisher and Blade, then Phase 3 is season 3s for the previous shows (and a possible season 4 for daredevil (depends if they want to do more than 3 seasons a show) and season 2s for punisher and blade and then they add GHOSTRIDER!!!!!! and ELEKTRA!!!!!!!!!!!!! and before you say, that'd bring them to 9 Netflix shows and that it'd cost a lot, remember that, this is Marvel, the cinematic universe movies are the highest grossing movie franchise of all time now, Marvel is pretty damn rich, plus they keep releasing more and more, and making more money, and considering Defenders will probably come out in either 2016 or 2017, by then there'll be even more movies so more money, imagine it, by maybe 2020 they might even have all the shows shown the same year, one month after the other (with some months being empty since it's only 9 shows not 12), there are a LOT of Marvel Knights and Netflix is mainly doing the Marvel Knights, Marvel has plans up to at least 2028, but it's obviously not gonna stop there, by 2028, Marvel will probably have at least 4 movies a year, think of how much money they'd have by then, so much that they could make so many movies and shows and one shots, pretty much what I'm trying to say is, it's awesome to be a Marvel fan right now!

Why is this still the MOST BADASS scene in all of Marvel or cinema PERIOD!?

we should be thankful to black superheroes, they've pawed the way for comic book movies(spawn, blade). Blade 2 is still one of the best movies for me.

How we went from unquestionably awesome vampires like Blade to unquestionably horrible vampires like the ones from Twilight is a complete mystery to me.

The way Blade instantly stood up 3:14 always cracked me up. And Reinhardt was like "hmm nice, I'm impressed" lol. It reminds me of the first movie where all the cameras instantly turn at Whistler and he says "caught you fuckers at a bad time?".

Reinhardt was a damned certified dumbass fool. 😂 Reinhardt truly believed he could take Blade head on from the beginning after Blade easily and flawlessly folded Reinhardt in two in less than 2 seconds in front of his own team in close combat after Reinhardt challenged Blade via racist skin tone insult "Can you blush?" Which Blade responds to by repeatedly bitch slapping Reinhardt with Blade's own silver stake to bait Reinhardt to try and take Blade out and he failed horribly. Lmao. Reinhardt tried to think about killing the Daywalker inside the vampire nightclub using his laser sighting handgun alongside Chupa, who despised Whistler the most as equally as Reinhardt despised Blade the most of all the Bloodpack team members and Chupa despised Blade as well albeit to a lesser extent than Reinhardt, which made Reinhardt Chupa's closest friend after priest dies. But Chupa shows Reinhardt Blade had his sights on Reinhardt already one step ahead. Then Reinhardt tried to get Blade killed in the sewers by the Reapers and Blade killed all the Reapers but Nomak himself. Reinhardt couldn't take a hint.

Dieter Reinhardt was a white supremacist Austrian pureblood vampire soldier and assassin that was racist and hated Blade as not only a black man but a hybrid vampire hunter who humiliated Reinhardt endlessly in every confrontation from the start. Reinhardt was involved in the Reaper experiment genetically engineered by Overlord Damaskinos on his own son Nomak as patient zero, alongside Damaskinos's familiars and henchmen that included Damaskinos's corrupt American lawyer, chief familiar and second in command, Karel Kounen and Scud the rat from Blade's team originally and Damaskinos's familiars serving as his armed elite guards and shooters. Reinhardt was allowed to be in on the reaper experiment as the Bloodpack leader second in command to Nyssa as Damaskinos's daughter and Damaskinos's henchman. While Nyssa was Damaskinos's daughter and would've refused to be in on the reaper experiment on her own blood brother much less lead her team on a suicide mission willingly. While Reinhardt was unrelated to Damaskinos and Damaskinos and indifferent to the Reaper experiment being used on the vampire dictator's own child or being used as an expendable asset and bait alongside his team. Reinhardt just tried to kill Blade out of his personal passionate hatred and vengeance against Blade against Damaskinos's orders to bring Blade back alive to create the perfect Daywalker species as the Reaper experiment failed to do.

Love how the unannounced masked faceless nobody goons run in exactly as Blade reaches the peak of his power and needs some unimportant people to mop the floor with to show how strong he's got. I would probably hang back and kinda assess things, if 14 people isn't enough to beat him 15 wont make much difference. And if he kills everyone then there's no one to tell on you for chickening out.

daniel dutra There wouldn't be a Blade 4. They'd do a reboot. The Blade movies were made by New Line. Marvel has the rights back now. Personally, I think a Netflix series would be better.

It also helped that the Blade producers, in general, went with the old standard that Vampires were predators and humans were their prey. Big difference than the Anne Rice and Twilight Vamps that try making them some sort of tragic figures that should be liked.
