The virus in "att declaration" vs the jar was such bs

4:35 when an ark declaration is happening, both sides must agree ark dec is agreed then proceed to DMG cal to then which morphing jar will flip activate then DMG (if any) is calculated. The red player cannot activate virus during DMG cal due to mechanics of how steps and procedure occur, thus virus will not activate. But in this case blue player assumed it was DMG cal and that jar eff will activate, red player should have specify in the chat response to atk dec, then activate virus thus jar would not have activated them blue must reveal field and hand for requirements under virus effect.

so i have a minor theory that could explain the deck dev sirocco morphing jar thing. they could have been fishing for removal/ information. scrap iron Dpris mirror force ETC for giving opp a neg oneand in response deck dev (i also think he cheated but it's not unreasonable for them to attack first)

That DDV thing was a dick move, but technically valid. It's really just a "gotcha" in the rules since you can't skip someone's priority. "I didn't _say_ we were going to damage calc, it's still my priority after attack declaration." And unfortunately the only way around it is to be pedantic about it every time. "Attack declaration, no responses, go to damage?"

Not sure if I agree. He didnt say he had effects during attack declaration. He attacked like normal and basically ddv during the damage step. He cheated and got away with it.

no it was attempted cheating. it was not consistent without how he had declared attacks previously. he has the thumbs up button and he had not been using it to pass prio to damage calc until he saw a morphing jar. he change the established short hand to make an unnatural play with knowledge of a card he didnt know he should play around. after that play he also didnt start using the pass prio procedure he requested in the first place. He declared many attacks and never once said i wish to go to damage calc after the morphing jar event. You can say its because he didnt have back row latter on to chain but he is playing a deck with a well known black wing hand trap that does work in damage calc. he did not maintain his own rules and gained an advantage by holding the other guy to it. if it had been a sangan facedown and he popped the ddv early he would have scooped almost certainly for the hard neg on himself if ddv on attack declaration with no chain was his true and honest intent.

Um actually I wanted to DDV on attack dec now that i see it's jar and I never said I was using an eff on dec... what a baboon

In the end red side got salty after not following proper procedure in trying to go about with virus activation. No wondering he scooped knowing gm3 he lost when we saw he had all tuners and no substance to show for it.
