    So beautiful and moving. So refreshing to see people who are proud of their culture and are being allowed to express it. Not all of us are so fortunate. Their music touches my soul.

    Very spiritual and connected to the land, the waters, the sky, and the creatures that live in all those places. I hope our native Americans keep expanding their culture, their songs, and chants. This is really important to preserve and very uniquely American.

    I am so happy to be able to at least watch the various tribes celebrate the music in the ancient ways It’s so incredibly powerful and awesome to feel . If one listens with the heart the imagination well take you on a journey to places you couldn’t possibly imagine existed so beautiful in the forever lands. No I’m not crazy or hallucinating or delusional. 😁 I am very gifted with the best virtual imagination ever. Thank you all again Peace well return to this land again . Only this time around her ancient ancestral stewards well care for her in the way the Creator has intended.

    This looks like it takes a lot of skill. I'm always curious about how the singers and drummers train for this. 👍👍👍Amazing!

  • @hilo5901

    @hilo5901

    2 жыл бұрын

    On the spot training: A singer (or drummer) is usually born into it or takes an interest and is “mentored” by a group, family, club, or experienced singer. Songs will flow naturally to a singer at any time. It’s like the indigenous heart has a language of its own and formulates songs and branches from there to make more songs. Certain songs are handed down through families, however.The drum has significance and it’s protocol as well.

    Magnifique les battements du coeur de la Terre Mère accompagnés du chant et le chant c'est ce qui vient du coeur et qui peut se partager, le son c'est ce qui nous relie c'est ce qui vient du "Silence" où nous sommes "UN" et qui va vers l'endroit où nous sommes multiples et qui nous fait goûter cette unité à cet endroit là 💞👏😍

    Different tribes and drums (the guys singing) have established a flag song. The flag songs usually--as it does in my tribe--respect and honor the American flag. A lot of American Indian/Native American men and women have given their lives for our flag. Laurie Piestewa, a Hopi, died in the first golf war trying to rescue people, and many more have died for our country. The victory songs are often ancient--celebrating victories by tribes. I have heard one or two that are modern.

    Has Native American drumming become popular with non Natives? Do you find non Natives getting into this type of drumming? Or is Native American drumming more particular to certain ceremonies so it shouldn't be done by outsiders? I ask because I've seen African and African influenced drumming become popular with non Africans. Like with conga and djembe drumming. Ewe drumming: kzread.info/dash/bejne/m3qlzMOvntzfn84.html
