Blacksmithing - Forging Fullers with
My friend Nils Ögren showed up and we decided to make a top and bottom fuller. We didn't plan much, instead we made design decisions along the way. These tools are primarily used when forging with a striker to isolate or set down a section of material.

Very fun to see both of you working together. More of this please! 😁
My god… I can’t get over how awesome that power hammer is… I built a heavy sledgehammer on a treadle/pulley mechanism so I could put different hammerheads on the handle… but idk if I could get it to be as powerful as hydraulics.
Super cool to watch you two work together!
Nice collaboration. Sometimes two hands aren't enough.

The forge fairy Allfather. (It's like a viking fairy godmother)
One thing I learned from my father, is to grind off mushrooming steel from the chisel head, or it might send out peices of steel at high velocity, hitting your body. At least 150..200 m/s. A hit in the eye might devastade your eye.

Loved it! Apart from the metalworking, what i liked most on this video is that with the modern machinery some crafts are one man show. But this video, remind us that forging as many crafts its a work of two or more people working in full harmony (parallel hammer hitting like Damascus foundries). A master and apprentice, an ancient idea, worked for thousands of years, in most of the crafts. We are trying to erease dependence on other people when people are all we need. But alas, when technology goes dark, the old ways come up. The old ways, never die, they remind us we once as spieces crawled before we walked. You didn't made collaboration, you made poetry for anyone who can understand. Thank you!
