The heat shrink release was such an eye opener to me man... thanks for sharing! Also, the outcome was great!
I'm an old fart who has fabricated a lot of stuff in the last 50 years, that "unwarping" the base by heating the weld from the bottom was pretty slick, thumbs up...
Glad you talked about the heat shrinking stuff, I was going to ask what the deal with the torch on the bottom.. now it makes sense. Great video!

Me 3, now I understand the "how come" you torching the underside of that plate.

el tattoo de v8 . vamos argentina viejoo! saludos excelente laburo
Great job Zach. Incredible workmanship and talent.
Excellent project! Every shop needs a post vise on a stand that can be dragged around. I liked the tool holder idea too! Great ending :)
A friend of mine sent this video to me and I’m glad he did. He knows that I’ve been thinking of a way to mount my leg vise and now I have an idea. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for this one, I had a lot of questions and they were all answered. Ah, ah, um um was great
Beautiful finished product. It was a pleasure to watch your video. I really want to begin learning all of the skills that you use in your shop.
Man, those Swag tables are getting popular.
Thanks for explaining torching the bottom. Nicely done.
The vise turned out great, Zach! That's really interesting how you did the heat shrinking on the bottom plate. It'll be good to see you again at Workbench Con in a few weeks!
People who present vids on you tube do a marvellous job. Dont worry too much about the ums and ahs. Ive tried to record just on my fone about simple stuff and I find it incredibly difficult to talk at all. YTs. Try it yourself some time. Keep up the good work.
I had forgotten about all the Um's! 🤣 Looks bloody lovely! I hope you do make it to Birmingham, you'll love the event and there will be loads of people happy to see you there! 😊👍
Great that you are coming to Uk... I was considering going to Birmingham...but I’m definitely going now. Another great... inspiring video. Thanks man!
Outstanding!! Will be doing something similar. Thank you for the ideas!
Beautiful finished project.
Awesome refurb job, that turned out good!
Um! Great Build Zack! I have an old Post vise I need to do something similar too. Thanks for all the Good info. Glad ur coming out west and hope to see ya in the UK Bro.👍👍

Just literally made one of these stands for the shop about 6 months ago :-) definitely worth the time investment...keep up the great work
Love your Leg Zack!! the best ending yet!
Love the build as always but I LOVE the umpilation!
+1 on the tip about removing cupping by heating the backside!
Nicely done Zack! 👍🏻👊🏻
Awesome video brother! Thank you for the build
Very nice work and great video mate. Your shop setup looks awesome too.
I'm astonished. All your creations will last two hundred years, at least
Great stuff! I liked the sand infill. Can't wait to chat at WBC and MC!
Fantastic video. I really enjoyed it. Great build man
YOU ARE A VERY TALENTED YOUNG MAN THANKS FOR THE INSPIRATION SIR
Came out so nice!!!! love the Color lol liked the umm blooper at the end
You made me smile. Thanks.
Swapped several items with Andrew. He’s about 20 minutes from my shop. Crazy fkr but has TONS of cool stuff. Nice stand!
Looks great! 👍👍👍👍 Love the warp tip
Great job. Got a good working place.
Nicely done. I like the color.
Great video. Thank you. Just found your videos. Great to see someone who knows how to properly weld. Too many KZread "fabricators" don't even clean the metal before welding it, and the welds are terrible. After four years of welding and metal fabrication school, over fifty years ago, I guess that I've become a bit "anal" about it. I've built a charcoal forge and am just finishing mounting a post vise that was given to me. I don't have too much room, so I'm looking at different ideas. Looking forward to watching more of your videos.
Very good joob ,im maker of Spain, greating
The um outtakes were cool. lol
Wow! Ummm... You truly have some mad skills! Way to go man!

Thank you!
brilliant execution!
always love your content
I thought when you traced the bottom with the torch it was pretty bad ass. Glad you came clean about not being the bad ass who thought that up. Great vid.
gran trabajo eres un crack, un saludo 💪👍
Beautiful Work!
LOL... that ending was hilarious... I have the exact same problem... I feel like cutting out all my "Um's" takes longer than editing the actual build... LOL
Oh man! Fast and awesome!
You just happen to be wearing a black and green plaid shirt 😉👍🏼👌🏼
Muy buen trabajo con el soporte del tornillo. Saludos.
Parabéns pelos trabalhos excelentes.
look forward to shaking your hand at makers central mate safe trip
Awesome work
great job👍🍀
UMMM...Great Video Zach!!
Um um um this was a great video Zach.
Awesome video.
Dude. I can’t tell you how great that build was. Heating up the back side was a great idea!!! Then the round pipe you started with was a great idea too along with the weld bead appeal, and I was saying to myself don’t grind it down man ha ha ha because you do sometimes but that bead looked good. Great build. Idaho has tons of places to live. Give it a try......just sayin.

Ya so come on back!!!! Could use more talent like you here and if you’d be willing to teach a couple basics of black smithing and wood work that’d be cool
Really great man!
Can't wait to have you in the PNW!
Would be great to see you over in the UK at makers central!

We are really going to try and make it.. But we are also trying to move across the country here, so it all depends on how everything lines up time-wise.
Props for maintaining pitch on sped up audio
nice one Zach.
Ummm Nice work Awesome video
Another good build! Thank you for putting it together. Two questions: What is the solution you used to burn off the coating on the bolts? What is your vertical band saw setup? It looks like a porta-band with a table.
Outstanding 👌 I was going to ask what you were doing on the under side of the base but you had that covered. Uhm LOL
Well, I guess its time to pull out my old leg vise and mount it.... Been carrying it around for 30 years now.... I can hardly wait for the informative um.... talk, yeah, talk.... *snark-off*
um.. AWESOME
Uuummm!!! I loved it,um good luck!
Sweet video dude!
Thanks for the video. You probably paid a ton for that post vise. That guy is so expensive.
Ummm you made my wife smile - good luck on your move to Bellingham - try Lynden WA possibly for property - the old FrontStreet furniture store would be a cool place if not already taken- next to Syro’s where my Dirty SANTchez resides Muller
Good job!
@ 4:04 you heated the areas where you welded, was that to relax the metal and take out the wobble? Guess I should have made it all the way through the video because you answered it.
Um... that is fantastic!!
Loved the umm....video
I was gonna ask why you heated the base.👍 Good luck with the house and workshop hunt. When I film myself speaking I have to remove a lot of dead air a ums also. 😁
Thanks for that. I learned some things.
Miss your work. Hope all is well. Best wishes!
Dope dude 😈😈
it is simply but very cute
Wow, very nice work. Copy cat I will be.
He colour coordinated his clothes with the stand
Awesome post vise and stand! Can't wait for Maker Central, that is going to be a blast! One note ... the um's compilation needs to be auto tuned into something. Cheers!!
