A fascinating interview with 89 year old Jacob Pierce Print filmed in 1972, who has been the local blacksmith since the early 20th century, his workshop was situated in a village on the outskirts of Reading.

    God bless that chap. That was back when people took pride in their craftsmanship and manual labour. Britain was built on these true treasures!

    That's my Great Grandfather. I'm lucky enough to still have the fireplace tongs he built in his Forge and I still use them today among other things lots of horseshoes had a big copper bucket for the wood to sit in
