If they put another metal coaster in it will be another nail in the coffi of the pleasure beach. So many family rides gone and the high charge to get in for non riders like Grandparents etc.I renember it in the 70's and 80's so busy and full of families. Lots of arcades ,food outlets etc fir families to sit and enjoy the place.Opened till late in tge summer with firework displays. Looks soulness now.

Well said! not everyone wants coasters and high thrill rides, the place does need to cater more for everyone, not just thrill seekers.

the families will come once every few years. The enthusiasts and thrill seekers will come multiple times a year. They have to appeal to their biggest market

The biggest problem with BPB isn't the rides, its the "on the door" admission price. Blackpool can be booming on the promenade, but when they are charging up to £50 per person on the door to get into BPB, no family will pay that for each person to get in! They will simply cross the road to the piers and get the cheaper option. They seriously need to bring back the walk-in non rider ticket and bring down the "on the door" admission prices otherwise we shall see more empty and quiet days at BPB and the park will suffer!

I agree, I was there last year summer with my daughter. I had to pay full price to get in, even though I was a non rider being disabled, there don't accept my disability id card, it has to be one there use, and appling for it, you have to give to much information about personal stuff and my disability.

@andrewlitt5429 I was at Adventure Island in Southend on Sea last weekend, free entry for all, great staff, plenty of security and felt safe in the park. On the door wristband prices where £30 for an all day wristband (£20 online) and reduced admission price after 5pm. If your not riding you could easily use there facilities for food and drink and guess what, the park was busy and had a great atmosphere, yes it's on a smaller scale than BPB but with 5 coasters to ride and no extortionate entrance prices it was a complete polar opposite and a great day out!

The majority of parks now only use Nimbus accessibility. The whole point is that you only have a card so you don't need to show any letters or anything to prove that you have an accessability, just a card. It's a much better system that that was in place before.

The team who do the gardening are very good when they do work around the walkways at the park, its just a shame they cant keep up with how much on the train in the safari section hasn’t been touched

The eddie stobart ride use to be the veteran cars and held 4 people same as the old grand prix petrol cars. kind of miss it

Its because day trippers want to do more than pay to stand in queues all day and nothing else especially time on the beach thats why people go to seaside !

It's not just about a reluctance to spend- their problem has been vast amounts of money being spunked on some bizarre and terrible choices over the years. It's gonna cost a fortune just to sort the basic infrastructure out for anyone who comes in.

I don’t think it has anything at all to do with Euro’s. It was empty like this the last 2 times I went and heard others say the same. It’s too expensive. Need to bring back being able to walk in for free and buy ride tickets. Looks at the video’s from the 80’s and 90’s, it was packed. All those people may not all go on rides but a good chance they will buy a drink or have a go in the arcade.

Sadly the park will never be free entry and pay per ride etc, its a different era/time now. They should definitely bring back the walk round pass and charge like they use to before covid times

Blackpool will never get a world class coaster,The new ride will be dissapointing.They have not got the space.

They have a lot of space then people actually think. No ever thought icon would fit and it did. Pleasure beach are the very clever when it comes to interlocking and squeezing rides in. Only time will tell.
