    I never realised that it was only AFTER you left Kirkham Station that you could see St Michael's spire. Used to live in Treales. Turn left at the first bridge after Kirkham Station.

    Thanks for a great video. Very nostalgic. Did this trip many times in the 60's to see my Nan in Blackpool when we lived in Preston. Nowhere near as quickly though.

    Live near Preston so these are the trains I get on if I need to and they are miles better than the ones they replaced! 150 156 I think

    I have seen a number of these videos, they are very interesting and fascinating, but I have noticed that there doesn't appear to be one covering the route from Manchester Victoria to Stalybridge via Miles Platting and Ashton-Under-Lyne. Will this route be covered in the not to distant future?
