I don’t know. It’s a good song, but at the same time I was like “what have y’all been DOING for two years?” This song is How Ya Like That, Kill This Love and Lovesick Girls thrown in a blender. I was really hoping they’d level up but it feels like something they could’ve done on the last album. Their label really does them zero favors. And don’t get me started on them using Rihanna’s line…apparently people who don’t want to say sampling now say “interpolating” like they don’t mean the same. I will say they look great and I think Jennie’s rap has definitely improved from earlier songs. Not the ability to rap necessarily, but her rap parts in past songs weren’t very noticeable compared to Lisa. I wish YG would give them MORE. More dancing, more vocals. Because they can handle it.
