Just an observation but I think what really differentiates professional dancers’ dance style from that of idols is the commitment to go harder on the moves. Both still look pretty good, but you can see for example that BP tries to keep straight upper bodies and don’t work their neck as much since their faces need to stay seen and visually pleasing. Just something I noticed and found interesting. :)

They dont move their chest and neck cause they need to sing if the chest and neck muscle moves the voice can fluctuate and can sound bad

Good points! Hard agree that it’ll affect their vocals too, which back-up dancers don’t need to worry about so they have more range in their movement. :)

Also I want to add that there NOTHING wrong with admitting or saying professional dancers dance better than idols. Yes idols cant go full out when they need to sing but even just judging dance skills alone dancers and choreographers are supposed to be more advanced in skill, and saying that doesn't mean hating on idols. When there's a direct comparison on dancing alone in videos like these, its normal to find the dancer version more powerful and sharp. These dancers dedicate their life to their craft, its normal that they're going to be specifically better at dancing. Idol-ing is pretty much whole other skill on its own, which idols are professional at.

Opening was really cool

Wow the original Kiel choreography hits harder than the kpop version. Especially the opening section. Plus the Rose version with the dark hair is so mesmerizing. I wish I could watch the entire thing

I think some of the reasons why some of the original choreos are changed or watered down in kpop are: A. So that idols can properly sing the song while moving. B. So that fans can easily learn the choreo (specifically for marketing purposes, like tiktok dances)

I actually really like this choreo, the best Kiel choreo so far imo

Guys, it is not like just one demo gets sent to the idols for their songs. When they require a dance choreography, they request some selected chereographers to prepare a demo. Amongst those demos, the idols and the management choose the most apt choreography of them all and sometimes many demos are mashed together to create a better choreography. So, the point is that it's not like they just work with one artist or just one artist is given preference. There are many choices for them to choose from, thus, stop hating on Kiel and I'm pretty sure Pink Venom's dance choreography is more of like a mixture and modification of the original one. Also, the previous blackpink choreographies are not all done by Kiel, some of them were choreographed by Kyle Hanagami, you can check on his channel. He choreographed Kill this Love, Ice cream, Boombayah and also ddu du ddu du.
