Okay, I’ll start! The MV is stunning and I’ll definitely give them that. I’m not Lisa biased (Jisoo stan here) but Lisa was styled so well and the part in the MV where she raps is my personal favorite in terms of visuals. The song is a bit of a different story, though. I’ll compare my opinions to this song to Dun Dun by Everglow (I don’t stan them, but I like the same parts of the song). The beginning was a bit underwhelming in my opinion, but then Rosé started singing (I think the pre-chorus?) and it turned into complete heaven. The chorus is honestly my favorite part and that doesn’t happen often. I just feel like Lisa’s part in it was a bit... unnecessary? I don’t know, it just made the scenery too loud for my liking. I prefer simplistic choruses like in Dun Dun or Make It Right by BTS. Anyway, back to our Everglow comparison. I find the only difference between these two songs (in terms of structure) is how well some parts were executed. I really loved Lisa’s rap but the rap in Dun Dun (can’t tell you who’s; I don’t know their names, sorry) was a bit underwhelming for me. It just didn’t seem to fit in my personal opinion. The ending was also a really big difference. Dun Dun’s was done really well. Actually amazing. I also would like to note that I like HYLT and Dun Dun’s beat drops very much. They give this song character. Back to the point. This song... lets just say that it got progressively worse and by the end, the beat was so messy and there really could’ve been a solo dance opportunity for Lisa but there just wasn’t. Also Jisoo didn’t say “BLACKPINK in your area” which kinda pisses me off. It’s no biggie tho lmao. Just stan Jennie’s short hair for clear skinnnnn

I'm curious about what you think about this comeback. I have noticed the same pattern also when I compare this to D4. I really want BP to make an album where they have the freedom to create their own music. I love BP for their personalities and their older songs are better imo. The formula is always the same, making me suspect the industry being the cause of it.
