Good reaction. As far as I know, Boombayah is just a made up word (they do that a lot, which I have heard is also typical in Nigerian songs, making up words that resonate the beats and melody). It is just a banger that expresses the wonderlust of youth. As far as I know, this song is prettty much symbolism-free, unlike DDDD, HYLT or KTL.

Not much symbolism in this one, just their debut announcing they're here and ready to play. Whistle was released at the same time and has a lot of symbolism, usually interpreted as building their fanbase.

Boombayah is like a war cry, it means something like "live without regrets." Years ago in Europe they said "carpe diem!", which means "seize the day."
